I'm feeling better emotionally after my freak-out this morning. I'm feeling like I can do this and not as scared about it. I'm looking forward to the new lifestyle again. Thanks everyone for all your advice and input. It is appreciated.

I re-read your post and realized what you were trying to say. My bad. I haven't put my weight in here yet as I haven't had surgery and don't have any other details besides my starting weight. Plus I don't really want to out my weight out there yet, I will one day when I'm at a weight that is less embarrassing and I feel like I've made some progress.

Will I ever be able to have fresh vegetables and fruits again? I know not right away as our new stomachs are healing but during maintenance? These things have become staples in my diet and I enjoy them. I see a lot of posts and it seems that people only eat lean meat and veggies. I just want to be able (eventually) to sit down and have an orange or enjoy an apple when I want to.

We have one very spoiled Golden Retriever. His name is Sam. 

Found this little gal running loose last night on my way home from work. Stopping by some houses in the area on my way home today to hopefully find her owners. She's a cute little thing.
But puppies...ugh. I forgot how much work they are.

March 22nd with Dr. Pleatman in MI. One of the local surgeons I met agreed to provide post care, in case of emergency.

Thank you SO MUCH! I called Pleatman’s office, and the patient coordinator, Kerry, was great. She was on the phone with me for an hour discussing everything about surgery and diet. She said Dr.Pleatman would call me on friday. He didn’t, so I hope to speak with him next week. I’m aiming for a late March surgery...in time for my 50th.
I cant thank you enough for sharing his name. $11,200, I can do. $29k was unthinkable.

I went to my first post op check in and am excited that already I am able to get rid of Metformin. My glucose level is all normal and Im 30 pounds down. Im so encouraged by the way my body is responding to the surgery. Working on my energy level but just thankful for the wonderful advice I've gotten here as a "lurker" and for this surgery. I feel hopeful about my health and more in control of my destiny then ever before.
