What is your starting height? I was sleeved the same day, and had the same sw. I am now at 172. I am 5'10. I actually have the same goal as you as well!!!!

HI! Congrats on all your hard work! I am stuck at 164. LOL. Of course, 4 pounds from my goal. With the summer coming up and more exercise, i'm expecting to get down there. I am only 5'4 though. But, i'm happy with the way i feel and look already. I'm a size 8/10!! Can't even believe it some days.

Also, the complaint above i figured out the reason.... Iron PILL!!! I stopped taking it due to back to normal levels and no acid. I knew something was off!!

  2. Crystal try moving the Iron pill up a hour or 2 if you can and see if it goes away. also try otc prilosec for a aweek to 10 days and see if you get improvment.
good luck and grats on your progress so far

Thank you! I will try that. In my searching I find someone saying something about their Iron pill. Also, I’m on 20mg omeprazole in the morning. I’ve already taken two tums today which is out of the ordinary. I hope this isn’t a new permanent thing for me.

  3. Hi All!

Congratulations on all of your successes! I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery on 8/21! So far so good. My start weight was 241, my goal is 150 (i'd even be happy with 160) and i am currently 177.

I am happy with my success but i wanted to know if anyone was experiencing something i am since we are all around the same time out. I have had little to no side effects or acid or anything like that. Recently, at night only I have been having this sensation that literally keeps me up at night. I feel a warm sensation in my throat like something is about to come up. I DO NOT eat before bed, i take a small sip of Water to take my Iron pill. Just even 2 weeks ago, i would drink alot before bed but this did not happen. I don't really feel too good today and have some reflux, so i'm wondering if it was particularly bad last night simply because i don't feel good. But it has been happening the past 3-4 nights. Also of note, i take a nap during the day sometimes while my son naps and it doesn't happen to me at all. I'm literally wondering if it's in my head. I spit up one time after drinking too much before bed and it was horrible. Maybe now i'm afraid it'll happen again.

I just cannot make sense of it. I was previously having a small snack before bed (2 hours before bed or so) and this would not happen. It's driving me crazy!!! I can't live like this because i'm not falling asleep until 1am and i get up very early.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks all and congrats again!<3

    Crystal

  4. You're right. I try to do extra activities to keep my mind off of things but idk it's like stress from everything builds up. I don't care about stuffing my face with fast food but it's just like idk how to describe it. My doctor said 6 weeks until I can get back in the pool I think that's bulllshit but I have to listen to the doctor. Thank you I needed this

Queen Tiff, you got this! I am pretty miserable watching people around me eat pizza and I'm eating apple sauce and broth and Protein Shakes. But remember why you made this decision. My guess, like many of us you weren't happy with the way things were going; health wise or body wise. It will get better. Just remember that and we are here for support. I am almost two weeks post op and sometimes I'm like did I really do this? Journal everyday. You'll see your attitude changing I promise. You got this!

  5. I love yogurt so it wasn't a problem for me. But I was told to eat Oikos Triple Zero greek yogurt, no fat, no artificial sweeteners, no sugar. The Vanilla is very yummy. I felt like I was eating ice cream. [emoji4] You can also add a spoonful of PB2, which is powdered Peanut Butter without the fat. That pain you're feeling is most likely gas. Walking will help. Try not to take anything for it. I didn't take anything and was ok after walking. But ask your surgeon or nutritionist if you need help with it. I didn't have the gas pains after a few weeks.

Thank you so much. After I read your post I saw a commercial for the yogurt. I'm going to get it tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback around the pain... I get nervous about that stuff. [emoji173]️[emoji173]️

  6. Hi everyone, I am 1 week post op tomorrow and I will be switching to puréed foods... my stage two of my diet. I know everyone's is different. I have been doing Protein Shakes and Clear Liquids. This stage is pudding, strained cream Soups, apple sauce, yogurt.

First, what type of yogurt did you guys use? Very confused about how to make it palatable. I hate yogurt, especially plain but I want to try new things.

Also, and unrelated, I am having pain at times during sleep and during the day in the top middle of my stomach almost like a bubble, lasts like 5 seconds and goes away. I am a mom so I am moving a lot ..

    Thanks in advance.

I'm actually feeling pretty good. I believe I am ready to go to the next stage so I'm going to test it tomorrow. Drinking good and am able to get in two 8ounce Protein Shakes plus broth and Water and other liquids. The diet can get confusing at times. I notified many of us have different ways of doing it. Just following my paperwork :-) how about you?

  8. I too just had my surgery on August 21. I see how most of us can have issues getting all the fluids in. I basically drink all day. I try to sit with my family at dinner to feel normal as well. I am still on all liquids obviously but will be moving to stage 2 tomorrow/Monday. My biggest complaint as of now is basically not knowing when I'm full. My doctor said that that is normal until later in the process because liquids go through us faster. Also diarrhea. I don't care about that so much because my stomach doesn't hurt. Lol. I've had moments where I regret doing this because I am truly a food addict and need to address the mental piece as well but I feel good and am starting to look better. I have lost 14 pounds already so I'm happy.

    Good luck!
