Sorry to hear about your husband's work situation. I don't really understand the US medical insurance system but the thought of losing your job and insurance and the same time sounds very overwhelming.
Sending you best wishes.

I use an app called H2OPal - it sends you reminders if you haven’t drunk enough. I find it helpful when I’m at work at forget to drink.

My Dr said gum is fine once you are healed up. It’s not going to block anything and if swallowed stomach acid will dissolve it

I told my manager I’m having surgery and left it at that. I don’t discuss my medical procedure with colleagues or acquaintances.
Each to there own.

I was allowed coffee straight away, I had one in hospital the day after surgery.
Everyone's Doctor is different, I've read posts on here that some had to wait 6 months for a coffee.
I'm glad I could have one straight away, I couldn't get through work without it!
Probably best you check with your Doctor.
Good luck

4 months, 2 weeks out - and I'm convinced getting my sleeve is the best thing I've ever done in my life.
I love my sleeve.
Still a long way to go but I know I'll get to my goal.
To date - 48.2 kg / 106 lbs gone for ever.
I have a follow up appointment with my Doctor in 2 weeks and I'd love to be down another 2 kg by then.
Take care August sleevers

I've never read any research on this - all I can report is my personal experience. If I don't eat before going to the gym in the morning I can't perform at my normal levels, I have no energy. I need to have some yogurt or a banana before going to the gym.
I'm interested in seeing the feedback on your question.

I got the sleeve. I didn't want a bypass as I didn't want my intestines messed with as it can effect medication absorption. This was a major thing for me.
I'm 4.5 months post op and lost 48 kg / 106 pounds. Getting sleeved was the best decision I've made in my life.
At the end of the day you need to make a decision you are comfortable with and happy to live with.
Best wishes for your weight loss journey

Have a lengthy discussion with your haemotolgist before making a decision

4.5 months out - biggest problem is not drinking within 30 min before/after a meal.
Still haven't got that down right.

Sitting in my office, staring at 200 unread emails - thinking to myself that I’m not ready to adult yet, and then I see your post/shirt. Made my day

It's summer here and there are a few hot days coming up, I think I'm going to get some sugar free Popsicles.
Thanks for the suggestion
Best wishes for your upcoming surgery.
