Ok I'm having fresh grown produce envy - and can't get your zucchini off my mind = just found this recipe for Zucchini Patties:
INGREDIENTS
2 cups grated zucchini
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
salt to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, combine the zucchini, eggs, onion, flour, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and salt. Stir well enough to distribute ingredients evenly.
Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drop zucchini mixture by heaping tablespoonfuls, and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden.
Now I would probably add some more herbs or garlic, etc.
- or smear them with ricotta mixed w/ pesto
Ok I'm going to drop it now and go get some at the farmers market!

You are very sweet - I have never thought of myself as an inspiration. It sounds like you have done very well yourself without many fills - that is excellent. It took me several fills before I really noticed a big difference. Keep up the good work yourself - it will all fall into line soon enough.

Focusing on eating better is definitely key - however, you really can have just about anything in smaller amounts (that has changed for me slightly now that I am tighter - and some people have trouble with certain foods even when they're not tight - you learn as you go.
Soda was truly one of the hardest things for me - Diet coke and Diet A&W root beer! However, sometimes towards the end of a time period when I need a fill I can still enjoy smaller amounts taken in sips.
Restaurant eating takes some getting used to - I actually enjoy it now - not caring if I spend a little more money on high quality food knowing that it will be about 3 meals for me (talk about getting your money's worth) the weirdest part is some of the stares you get from servers when it looks like you've barely touched your food - I think they feel I didn't like it - so I'm sure to tell them I loved it I'm just not that hungry.
Good Luck!

Sounds typical to me> I am also a charge RN and our census is down too - very odd for us.

'COntinued' (first half was too long apparently - read 1st half first) both by itself(sweetened with splenda and served with fruit and a little cereal), in protein shakes for extra protein and fullness, and in recipes: soups for creaminess, mashed potatoes (I pretty much substitute it for anything I would normally get sourcream for) if you've never had it - you would never guess that it's fat free (my favorite brand is Fage) for 1- 6oz serving it is only 90 calories but 20 grams protein.
It has also helped that I love to cook - so I am always experimenting, trying new things, experimenting with ways to make favorites more band friendly.
I also try to drink at least 2 liters water a day - thank God for crystal lite and sugar free powerade.
I did average about 8-10 lbs a month for the first couple but I'm about 4-6 now.
I hope some of this helps - GOOD LUCK!

Thank you very much! I hope you have great success - I'm not sure where you're starting at - but I have lost some more initially than some because I was 300+ to start. It also took me several fills though before I got restriction because I have a bigger band. I'll admit right off the bat that I may have even done better had I exercised sooner - it wasn't until this last month or two that I have really exercised with regularity. My big keys to nutrition have been to allow some treats frequently here and there - but not keep them in the house (or I have problems) but I focus on eating a lot of protein with my biggest key being nonfat plain greek yogurt -

Good luck with your new port - hopefully it will work out better for you. I did not receive your friend request - try putting it through again and I will absolutely accept. I laughed about what you said in regards to talking patients - I like it both ways but much prefer the sicker the better. Good Luck!

Chilaquiles are basically a mexican layered casserole. Traditionally a latin american dish made for breakfast, lunch or dinner - you layer in a baking dish any combination of the following: rice, black beans, refried beans, scrambled eggs (for the breakfast option), cooked taco meat or shredded meat, cheese, corn ,and somewhere in there you have a layer of slightly crushed tortilla chips (traditionally in mexico they use stale corn tortillas fried) then you pour over the top a can of enchilada or taco sauce and bake. My chilaquiles this time started with a layer of mexican rice (used a bag mix), then a can of chili beans, cooked ground chicken taco meat, crushed light tostitos chips, can of drained black beans, shredded monterey jack cheese, and then the red enchilada sauce. I baked it at 350 deg. for 15-20" My favorite part is you use what you have and just keep dumping in - but try to keep it layered - it adds to the presentation.
