  1. The same thing has happened to me. I was thinking about getting the revision surgery. I'd rather not go under the knife again. I know that you can do the diet from the first month to shrink your stomach again. Im m not sure how effective it is though.

  2. I was sleeved on 8/23. It has been a whole month and I have only lost 25 pounds. I'm a big girl I should have lost more. I'm not eating nearly what I was eating before but staying under 900 calories a day. What is wrong with me? Why am I not losing? I feel like this was all a mistake and I'm going to just stay fat forever. The scale hasn't moved in about 2 weeks and my heart is broken.

Sweetheart! Stop. It's okay. Next week your gonna prob lose 10 lbs. I felt like that too. I stepped on the scale and I gained 4 lbs. you will retain Water especially near your lady time. As long as you aren't eating Pasta, rice, fried foods and a ton of carbs the way will come off. Do yourself a favor and stop weighing yourself! Everything will work out . I'm down around 30 at 46 days. When is the last time you lost that much weight? That's what my surgeon asked me. I was like ... yea you're right.. in due time 🖤

  3. My surgery was 8/9, and I'm still on liquids until 8/30, then on to puree....I am down 21 lbs so far but, have had a setback with a knee injury. Damn squats... strained my MCL. Worse part is I can't take any anti inflammatory medication. I'm using my left over pain meds to help, but worried this inactivity will slow down progress. Is everyone one else exercising daily yet?

Hey, we're you cleared to workout? I can't even go to the gym yet. I can walk on the treadmill but I can't lift yet. Weight training is mega important. You are gonna lose weight regardless don't go crazy and be patient you are doing awesome. I had my surgery on the 7th and I'm down 18 so 21 is awesome . Let yourself heal. Don't be discouraged !

  4. Hi everyone! My surgery was on August 2, so I'm in day 20 post-op. I was wondering if anyone has plateaued? I'm on the puréed phase of the diet and I started this plateau about a week ago. I'm walking at least 30min each day. My Protein levels are in the 80-90g. Calories less than 800. Fat grams are less than 15 as well. I'm following everything my nutritionist and surgeon said. Any suggestions?

My surgery was August 7th . The first week I lost 12 lbs the second week I lost nothing. In the third week I'm down 5. Don't get discouraged the weight will continue to fall off!

  5. My surgery was scheduled today!!! August 29th! All they said was no alcohol or aspirin two weeks before. I have not been dieting but now that I have a date I eating about 1400-1500 calories a day so I can lose a little before the surgery. I've only counted calories for 2 days and I'm starving. Not emotional, boredom or out-of-habit hungry BUT Real body hunger that's distracting and annoying! For those who have had the surgery, are you a lot less hungry?

Before surgery? Oh yea your 100% hungry. After? You will think you are hungry but you won't be. I thought I was hungry 3-6 days post op. Then I realized I was bored to death. The hunger went away. Now I have to remind myself to eat but that doesn't mean my tastebuds died. I made 3 diff kinda of pulled pork, little cakes, and a cucumber salad last night for a party. All I wanted to do was smash my face into it. Lol so keep in mind your brain talks to you when your stomach is silent.

  6. I was also hungry shortly after surgery, despite being allowed to eat by day 4. Turns out my acid reducers weren't working and it wasn't really hunger but acid I was feeling.

Yea, I wasn't really hungry either I was head hungry. Now I have to remind myself to eat but I want to eat food. Not Soup. Food. lol I'll take it smooshed or whateverZ I'm having issues with slimy saliva all the time. If I think about eating something it happens sometimes. That can't be good. I've always been easily nauseated. Hopefully that nauseous feeling will go away.

  7. My surgery is tomorrow and I have all kinds of mixed feelings. I know I have to stay positive and I will get healthy. Anyone experiencing being very sluggish after the surgery?

I wouldn't say that I was sluggish. I was definitely tired and needed rest. The best day I was awake and aware and wanting Tom move around. Day three I was doing minor exercises with 5lb weights. Everyone is different . If you feel tired. sleep. Don't be nervous. After you will thank yourself

  8. Kaja, I took your suggestion and put a little bit of parmasan on my broth tonight. It did help! I can't wait to go to the nutritionist tomorrow so I can eat something. I ate a noodle tonight out of the dinner I made for my family and I felt so awful for sneaking it. Oh, well. I've been so hungry. The clear fluids for 2 weeks has been really tough.

Gosh! We must be on the same wave length because I only have a couple hours left until full liquids. I just had some Tomato juice spiced up like a Bloody Mary... ummm first couple sips felt like I swallowed lava. lol I think the sip might have been to big but that's what I get for not just waiting. [emoji849]

  9. Kaja, welcome! I read your post that you're really hungry. Me too!!! I'm almost 2 weeks post op and still on clear liquids. I can even strain Soup like you did. I think it's interesting that different doctors follow different schedules. I see mine on Monday and then I graduate to soft foods. I can't wait!!!

Wait you should be able to have strained broth soup. The broth is a little thicker because of the bean but it's just chicken broth. Gotta get creative. lol not to mention I went out to eat with my bf and it was either that or drink Water and watch him eat. I made sure I didn't eat anything solid or any Pasta. I would steer clear of Beans for gas purposes.

  10. Kaja, I feel fine. I really don't have pain at this point. The first few days I did use the painkiller they gave me. I'm looking forward to being able to eat...that'll be huge and I think I stay on that soft foods plan for 4 weeks. I've lost about 24 pounds in less than 2 weeks...and that is totally worth it!!! How are you doing with weight loss? I followed you so we can stay in touch [emoji4]

Honestly, I haven't weighed myself. For me it's not really about the number. It's about the way I feel and my bp and quality of life. I'm to worries about not being dehydrated and going crazy because the only thing I have chewed is popsicles. Sunflower seeds are my thing. The shucking and spitting of the shell and without that comfort snack I've been cleaning everything lol

  11. Tammy
I can't figure out why everyone's plan is different. You did the clear liquids longer but I have a full liquid step in between[emoji849]. Cream Soups and Protein Shakes .. I'm so excited. You are strong because I ate 1 saltine day 5 because I needed to chew something and you have gone 2 weeks. How's your Pain. I iced my big incision and I'm definitely able to move around a lot better. I had to use the codeine though. I have a high tolerance for pain but my liver is pretty big so I think my doctor had to do a lot of work. Everything else okay?

  12. Yea the gas is the worst. So I went down the sugar free fat free candy rode. Don't do it!!!! I realized I can still take down liquids like a champ . So instead of taking 5 days to drink one bottle of clear Protein Drink it takes me like a half hour. I
Was so hungry today and was upset that I still can't even eat cream Soups that I
Ate 1 saltine .. and a tbsp on unshelled sunflower seed kernels. I chewed it with Water in my mouth and for a long time .I feel guilty.. oh so guilty. It's better than the grilled cheese I wanted to shove down my throat. I can't eat Jello. I tried. It's just not a thing lol .. next week I'm looking forward to puréed soups and full liquids.. and fat free sugar free ice cream. I'm on the struggle bus. I refuse to weigh myself! CONGRATS ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!

  13. I tried to talk myself out of it like 6 xs. I honestly think it's a lot of not wanting to make changes. For me food was never a friend but I always was in love with the flavors and the presentation and the culture behind the food. Eating and dining became a hobby for me. I didn't want to let that go. Not to mention I enjoy drinking. So now I have lost both of my hobbies. I feel much better. My blood pressure is already way low after only 5 days post op. I'm hungry but this too shall pass. Give yourself a chance to be a brand new healthy person.

  14. I FINALLY got back home yesterday after 8/4 surgery. Went for a 25 min walk today and felt so faint that I almost passed out. Hoping to get stronger. Feeling super weak

I try to walk around as much as I can. My incision really hurts when I do to much. I'm at day 5. I would say if your gonna walk limit your other activities during the day . You wanna be able to heal and not feel sick! You got the right idea moving around though!

  15. I feel much better but I am struggling with this liquid diet. I went around looking for sugar free candies to Break it up... they were not lying when they said sugar alcohols will give you so much gas and diarrhea. I'm not hungry but I'm so tired of drinking fake sugar. I'd much rather just stick to natural sugars in food. At one point in my life I did work out and lost a lot of weight and I was hooked on sugar free stuff. Now it just makes me nauseous . [emoji24] I can't wait until Monday's . How are you feeling now? How's your weight loss going?

  16. Okay now I'm sure hat you should prob not be looking for loop holes for candy but.. if you can have sugar free popsicles and Jello is it okay to have sugar free gummie bears? I feel like it's safer than sugar free hard candies. I feel like if you swallow a whole candy by accident it might cause some damage. If you swallow a whole gummie bear it will dissolve. It's also not compromising the clear thing . Im not saying it a whole bag but ... what are your thoughts? Also, I have never had a sweet tooth in my whole life and 4 days pre op and I'm about to eat substitute sweetener packers!!! What is going on?!
