I'm not overly active yet and havent noticed too much hunger, unless I go like 5 hours between meals (my program discourages snacking and emphasizes 3 meals) i expect a change when i start working out hard. But bodies differ

Rebellion happens. I had brownies and chocolate this week and I know I ate Breakfast and lunches too fast. Had a stall. But guess what? We're human! And we don't have to be perfect, but we do have to consistently get back on track. So it's a new day - no matter what time it is!
Praying for that long, luxurious poop for you!

That is so peculiar! Any chance of renovations in the office or at home? Or any chemicals in the air somewhere? I'm curious to see if anyone's experienced this too!
No renovations anywhere. Could be the dry weather but a nurse friend wondered avout vitamins

Hey all - I've had 6 nosebleeds in 10 days after never having one in 53 years of life. I live in Colorado and it's been very dry, but it's not like I just moved here. I asked my surgeon if I should come in for a blood test for Vitamin deficiency. He says as long as I'm taking my Vitamins (i am) it's likely just the dry weather or soemthing else. Has anyone else experienced nosebleeds? I've had two at work - luckily alone in my office - which are most upsetting. It looks like my multi doesn't really give that much vitamin K and of course, on my tiny diet I'm only getting so much. I might look for a supplement tomorrow....

Fluffer - catching up after being awol most of the week. Congrats on figuring it out and measuring! I need to follow your example. Tried a cauliflower crust pizza today and ate too much of it. I told myself 1 slice, but had to go for 1/2 a slice more... Not sick but not feeling great either. Also have discovered that chocolate doesn't bother me. Next week will officially be a chocolate free week! (won't hurt that my office mate, who brings in chocolate, will be out of town).
You're so inspiring! I'm loving following your journey!

That's so awesome. How do you feel after the one month? Are you feeling back to normal?

About 7 weeks out now. Drinking Water more like a nornal person and eating more like 1/2 cup instead of 1/4 mist if the time. Other than eating restrictions I feel pretty nornal.

oh yeah! I went from size 24 jeans to 18, and this morning, put on a 1x sweater. Last fall pre-op it was 3x. Feels good!

Unless your budget is really really tight, I highly recommend getting smaller clothes as you go - because we have body dysmorphia and we fail to recognize/appreciate when we lose weight. It makes a big difference, it really does - it honors your hard work.
If I put on my fat clothes, I feel fatter and like nothing is changing, if I put on those smaller fitted clothes I notice it a lot more and feel better. I especially like wearing a Spanx camisole bra, a shirt that fits, and my skinny jeans from AE. Oh yeah!!! As opposed to my 2x pjs which make me feel that large.
THIS! I wore saggy pants to work with a long cardi (which i love) to cover the sag and felt like a frump all day. Got new pants that fit and it changed my whole attitude. I've only bought jeans smaller in casual wear as i dont mind feeling baggy as much at home and have several previously too small tops for errands

Closet shopping is the best! I did get fed up with my work pants sagging to my knees and went to the local outlet mall, and to kohls armed with a 30% off coupon and picked up a few things. It's amazing how much better you feel when your pants fit! I also instituted 'yoga pants friday' at the office so I can wear stretchy pants on Friday since they last so much longer while we lose.

It's definitely a personal choice. I've kept the circle very small - due to negativity and also, because my medical choices are really no one's business. My coworkers know i had surgery, but we don't discuss what type. I started working with a dietician during my pre-surgery requirements, so just said that she and I were resetting my habits in the new year, post surgery. There are a couple concerned that I'm not eating enough, but they know I'm under medical care and feeling great, so they're not overly worried.

7 hours ago, Biddynz said:Yep, I have the fobi. I loved the gastric band when it worked, so am very comfortable with having that wee ring in there (a little boy’s urinirary catheter, with a suture throug the middle tying it into a 6.5cm circle).
My Pouch is long and narrow (most are more like small round balloons - mine is the long thin party balloon). And when he rejoins it to the intestine, he takes several inches of intestine up and uses it to surround the newly cut edge of the pouch - so most of my new pouch is stomach wall plus intestine wall double-thick. This almost eliminates post surgery leaks. Also - in a few people, the cut away stomach migrates back to the new Pouch and rejoins which makes the cut away stomach get food again (isn’t THAT amazing!) but having that intestine over the incision line stops that..
The downside - surgery is expensive because it takes 5 hours (including band removal and scar tidying - maybe 3 usually). Also, my guy hand sews rather than staples, hence 100% open surgery.
The whole process is fascinating!

Just keep measuring and you'll be fine! I've found that some days I can eat what looks like a lot and other days only half that amount. Depends on the food too

I remember having a few burps. Get that gas out! I like "war wounds". My surgeon referred to them as "stab wounds"
