  1. Thanks for this thread Carrie_C. I was feeling like a failure lately myself. Since October I have been losing/gaining 5lbs. I've been having a tough time eating because of vomiting, then I eat bad food. I also have not been exercising so I know that my slow weight loss was slowed due to my own actions. it is nice to get support by seeing other peoples obstacle & not feel so alone.

  2. Wow, 6 months! I don't know why but it seemed longer. I have been feeling discouraged for the last 2 months because of frothing & vomiting issues, then making bad "easy" food choices but when I think-it's only been 6 months-I guess I've been doing okay. I feel encouraged by everyone's weight loss & excitement & feel motivated to get out & move! Thank you May Banders!

  3. I haven't been on the site in awhile. I was feeling discouraged. I was due for my 3rd fill at the end of october but after meeting with the nutritionist she thought it might not be a good idea. I have of trouble w. frothing & full on vomiting after the majority of meals which encourages me to eat "easy " foods like sweets or certain chips. I haven't been exercising consistently which also doesn't help. I'm hoping that getting back on this site actively will be a step in the right direction!

  4. I just went to the nutritionist and we talked about my difficulties with fast eating and not chewing enough. I have been frothing frequently and after frothing I resort to eating foods that go down easy but have no nutritional value. I have not lost weight in weeks as this eating pattern is not good. It is amazing how difficult mindful eating is. Getting more fills may not be the answer if you are not making good choices. I am really going to make a stronger effort to overcome my bad eating habits.

  5. I just had .5cc put in my band today. I felt disappointed because I only lost 2oz from my last appointment in July. I have had a good amount of weight loss until I discovered how easily sugary, high calorie foods go done. I am hopeful my fill today will help me get back on track-especially because I am on a liquid diet for the next two days.

  6. FeliaLevy75: How inspiring! I have been having a really rough time. I am eating way too much and eating sugary fatty foods. I have not lost any weight in 3 weeks. I am scheduled for a possible fill 9/9. I am going to try to get back on track with the eating and exercising so that I will have it under control for my next fill.

  7. Can I ask those who feel no restriction (especially those receiving at least one fill) -Do you not have any "stuck" or "Frothing" episodes? Can you eat anything-or is the feel of no restriction related to feeling hungry? I was just curious because I do have difficulty with some foods and I do often "feel" hungry.

  8. AnneV: I have had a 2 week weight loss stall however I continue to make bad food choices and have not been exercising at all. I am scheduled for a 2nd fill on 9/9. I am really trying to get motivated and move! If you are doing everything correctly & staying on track my guess is you'll experience a large weight loss when your body is ready to let it go!

  9. I have some restriction with my first fill and have had several "frothing" & "pbing" episodes which are extremely uncomfortable and last for about 45 minutes. I am still struggling with bad choices. I must motivate myself! I have lost 31lbs since the surgery but have not lost anything for the last 2 weeks due to bad eating.

  10. I have 1cc in a 4cc band. I have had frothing episodes when I eat too fast or don't chew enough so I know that is some restriction. I am scheduled for a 2nd fill mid August. Unfortunately I discovered that sugary, fat foods don't cause any problems going down. It is mainly the Proteins (meats). Hopefully with a 2nd fill the bad food won't go down so easily!

  11. Fluffycat:

I am having the same issue. The proteins: meat, & chicken are getting "stuck" because I am taking too big of bites & not chewing to death. Unfortunately processed food like sugary, fatty foods go down with no problem. I've been having a rough few days trying to get back on track. The best Proteins to eat if your in a hurry would be fish or chicken salad mixed w. lowfat mayo or dressing. The "stuckness" you are feeling up high in your chest is where I feel it too. From what I have been reading that is the normal area to feel the pain from. What a drag!

  12. Well, I am 2 weeks out of my first fill. Things were going great but 2 days ago I began to make poor eating choices again and slipped into bad eating. Unfortunately sugary foods go down easily. I am writing this to give myself strength to get back on track. I am starting strong and healthy again now. I thought this fill would do it but I think I need more. thank you for this venue for writing.
