soy milk is a good liquid. but soy mil is pretty high in calories and sugar. and anything from starbucks is pretty much a bad thing. but it is up to you to choose. I know during the liquid phase it is more about just getting food down and not about losing weight.

DH and I were watching Miami Ink the other night, and they were doing tattoos that signified life changing moments. This guy got a picture of his cat that he had for 13 years tattooed on him, with the name and dates and in memoriam on it. Not my cup of tea. This other chick got a really pretty lizard on her back i think to symbolize her fiance that passed away.
It made DH and I think about what we would get if the one of the kids passed, or if one of us passed. I know..morbid...but it was interesting to talk about. He said that if I died he would get a little redheaded fairy with wicked wings sitting on a gardenia. Gardenias are my favorite flowers, andhe always calls me his wicked little fairy. If he died I would get a small pirate ship on a fair sea. That is just what he is. a smooth sailing pirate. For the kids it was pretty easy. For our son it would be a spider. he loves them, he loves spiderman, and he acts like a spider climbing on everyhting. For our daughter it would be a ladybug. When she was born this nurse came in and said "Her spirit guide is the lady bug". We thought, yeah, whatever, ok. Ever since then no matter where we live, we have issues with ladybugs. they find her. they are always around her. and she has loved them the whole time. they are the only bug she loves. and it is not like we fostered it. but she has become our little lady bug.

Ok, thenI will try to keep my answers sane. No, I have never cheated, and neither has my husband. There is nothing that I keep from him, and vice versa in any part of our relationship. We communicate about everything, and have since we became friends way way back when I was in high school. LOL Ok...not that way back, but we met and became friends in '93. I think that communication is the key, and so is a healthy respect and love for each other. I can honestly say that, aside from my kids, there is nothing on this planet that I love and care for, as well as think about, more.

I disagree BJ. Govt programs and forced charity was flawed from the beginning. you cannot fix something that is fundementally flawed. The best is to do away with it and let people, our american society, become strong on its own and take care of people in their own rite. To continue handing out funds and services to people without making them do anything for themselves is devastating to those people. It forces them to become dependent on people and programs other than themselves. Most can never break away from it, and we as a whole tax paying society end up caring for this person for the rest of their lives.
The answer is not to fix the broken system. It is to do away with the system completely. Let people find charity from their neighbors, from their churches, from their youth groups, from their family. And teach them to be more self sufficient. It will develop a strong sense of being, a stronger society, a closer community, and a stronger government.

Again, I do take responsibility, but I also understand the power people have over people who are under distress. And until you work a post-abortion help line for 3 years, you may not want to make statements such as "these things do not happen". they do, more often than you can imagine.
I believe that the government should step in and make this option illegal. that way it would have not been so easy for me to make the decision, or any other young and stuck girl like I was.
Laws are very powerful things. They make people think twice about taking other people's lives, taking drugs, stealing, and doing lots of other illegla, and IMMORAL actions. If abortion was outlawed there would still be people taking actions into their own hands, or going to dirty doctors, but it will also cut WAY down on the number of abortions being done. And then, maybe, women will take having sex irresponsibly more serious.

I did state what sort of places I support and have volunteered at. There have been a lot of posts though, so missing one here and there is normal. I am sure I have done it a number of times.
As for the people I work with, people talk about politics all the time. Look at the board here. it is VERY normal for people to wear their political compass on their sleeve. Its actually rare to work with someone for a long while and NOT know what their political associations are.
I do not post how much I make or donated to make myself "better" than anyone. There have already been comparrisons on this thread about how much is enough. Like I have said before, I am merely qualifying the charity programs and my participation so as to not be labled as "a feel good contributor".
As for donating all of my 200k minus what I need for living expenses....that is how much I can give. You see I support my sister in laws family of 4 as well as my father and mother in law. I do not count this as part of the charitable amount, but we provide for those two households because of serious illness hit both homes. I also started 2 new businesses this year and last year, and have had to put quite a bit of my own funds towards doing so. I do not donate a set amount, I donate what I do not need. If you would like a complete accounting I am happy to provide it. Since you do not feel my 25% is enough. hehehehe
As for being a snob, well, that is certainly both of your opinions. I am not sure where name calling will get you, certainly not a seat at my table. But I am amazed that someone can even begin to form an opinion of someone else just by reading a few posts on a board. You and BJ probably do not even know me from the years I was on here before. Alexandra and Wheets know me. I think they can safely say i was always a generous and helpful person. No snobs here.
