Pre Op Diet
1200 kcals/day, 20% carb (60g), 40% protein (120g), 40% fat (57g) -- this is essentially my pre-op plan, and I've lost 10 pounds in 10 days.

12 Days Post-Op Gastric Sleeve and Totally Regretting it
Thanks! I ordered the Isotonix aloe and probiotics Sr. G recommends -- will try this formula if I have problems. Have you sought out protein that is not whey-based yet? Maybe it is just transient lactose intolerance?

Out With the Old--In With the New!
Ha -- I binge-watched the season of Big Ward on Netflix this week -- I loved it, too!! I have never really liked My 600 Pound Life -- I just can't relate to their situations. First I ever heard of Fobi. Is there a risk of erosion like with band?

To tell or not to tell
So are they being very blunt: did you have bariatric surgery? Or is it more like: you look great - what are you doing? I know I've asked close associates the latter when they start losing big, prefaced with "if you wouldn't mind me asking...". Mainly because I just want to know what works for people!! I think if someone overweight took me aside and asked, I'd tell them.

Any March 2018 Sleevers?
The first days of any diet are the roughest and then it will get easier (but I'm sure you already know that, LOL).

Any March 2018 Sleevers?
The PA that works with my surgeon told me GasX works for gas in the bowels, which isn't the area of concern. Which begs the question: how does air exit the abdomen -- isn't it through the digestive tract?

@Arabian78 Whole Foods has a bunch of protein alternatives to whey that you may want to try. Keep plugging away :-)

Starting to notice!
Nice! Someone did a study (of course, LOL) and discovered that people notice when you lose 1.3 from BMI. Go figure!

I'm so sorry you are having this experience, Fingers crossed you feel better soon, and can start taking in some protein. Regarding your reaction to protein shakes, which varieties have you tried? And have you considered the clear protein shakes or Unjury unflavored protein added to broth, etc? I personally have issues with Premium Protein, but sfh Pure is fine for me. PS - I have the same surgeon! If you wouldnt mind sharing, why were you in the hospital for 4 days?

Any March 2018 Sleevers?
My pe-op is averaging between 900-1200 cals/day, and I'm actually feeling a bit more energetic. Hungry, but energetic. Fingers crossed for you NOT getting sick before surgery. Guy next to me was dxd with strep yesterday and came in to the office. Sigh.

You poor thing! I had significant issues after a hysterectomy a couple of years ago, so it can't just be gunk from the stomach causing the problems -- it must be the anesthesia and pain killers. Senokot it is, then, for me...

OMG, I had similar experience after hysterectomy, it was so miserable!!! I went to Ducolax (sp) -- that stuff is great!
