Hi yeah so I guess this gas is no joke but I thank you guys for the great advice.
Try using a heating pad too especially if you are getting it on your back or shoulders. I did and still do occasionally but heating pad helps a great deal too.

Hello, I had my sleeve on the 1st and was wondering how long does the gas take to leave I think I still have pains ever so often it’s like a rolling little pain inside
I was sleeved on the first too and still get gas pains but gas x strips have been a big help on taking the edge off.

Sleeved March 1st I am able to drink Water with no issues flavored or not. Protein Shakes I try to take in slower but I am getting it in.

Good news is I haven’t needed to take my diabetes meds since before surgery so that’s a plus.

Good morning everyone I am almost a week out of surgery March 1st. It’s been quite a journey and I understand everyone’s pain. Right out of surgery I got the whole left back side gas pain and my biggest is the big cut on the left. I was in the hospital a day in a half because I was throwing up on the first day. On the second day we figured out how to control all of my pains. So for my back they put a heating pad on it which really helps and my stomach I keep ice on it. As far as the gas walking around my house helps and plenty of fluids help too. Finally on full liquids and can’t wait for purée. My struggle right now is that I can’t tell if I am full or not yet so I just follow the rules on how much liquids I can have. I still get the gas pain even with gas strips but not as bad. Honestly everyday it gets better slowly but surely. I am however amazed at how much I have already lost.

Keep up the good work everyone and remember to walk even if it’s just around the house. I mix my Water with mango green tea crystal light.

I sure will as soon as I can. Praying for a speedy recovery for all of you.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words it’s nice to see another polys progress. It gives me more motivation I really appreciate it. I do have a Fitbit and I am trying to get more walking in before surgery. I look forward to one day sending out a wonderful update like yours.

Unfortunately I don’t get scheduled until after I complete my six months nutritional visits as required by the insurance. Thank you for the compliment. I have also been watching a ton of YouTube videos on the sleeve as well because I am getting that done too.

Yes I did my psych visit right before Christmas and this month on the 24th will be my last nutrition visit. Fingers crossed I will be able to schedule afterwards. I also started going to a support group as well. What about you?

Talofa from Washington Wow you look awesome [emoji1433] I am actually going to have my last dietitian visit January 24th. It’s starting to become real for me. I am starting to get nervous and a little scared but can’t to see where this journey takes me. Seeing your progress makes so happy to see what’s to come.

Hi! My name is Lisa and I am just starting out as well. On 8/18 I have my first appointment with the surgeon. I was surprised with all the things I need to do before, but I'm glad they take it seriously enough to have us go through it all.
I don't have a lot people who understand my decision to do this, so I'm looking forward to speaking with others about it.
Feel free to stay in touch! Best of luck on your journey.[emoji4]
🤝 Nice to meet you Lisa my name is Celia. Yes it is so nice to see and read about other people going through the same I am going through. I wish you the best of luck as well. Keep in touch[emoji16]

Good evening everyone I am just now starting my sleeve journey. I heard about it from a coworker and since then I have been looking into it. I have been doing my research and even went to a seminar. I am sure this is what I want to do for my health. I had my consultation on July 28th and was told I had to wait 6 months and follow a dietary plan. I was kind of bummed at first but when the MA went down the list of things that needed to be done I kind of went into shock. By the end of my visit I was glad it was a 6 month wait because it is going to take me 6 months to get used to all of it. I have been reading how well you all support each and finally just built up the courage to post something. You all have any advise for someone just starting out? I am excited for the the new journey but scared at the same time. I have been big my whole life.

Don’t feel nervous you got this. Try to go in with a positive attitude everything will be fine. If you have support groups in your area I would suggest attending those too. I learned a lot from my support group and appreciate everything from it.
