My belly was swollen for 3-4 weeks. I'm 6 weeks out now. Started wearing camisoles with stretch and support, really helps.

costco has 18 packs of Premier Protein too. chocolate, bananas and cream, strawberry, caramel and vanilla. You can also buy 4 packs at Walmart by the pharmacy. Usually bottom shelf. A lot of folks use the caramel as coffee creamer. It's good!

I too had my surgery on 6/21/2017. My nutritionist put me on a 60 grams of Protein. I really don't like the bariatric shakes. But I found that perimer Protein Shakes are not chalky but smooth, and they are 30 grams of protein per shake. I am in the 2nd phase with soft mushy foods and still have one more week of this phase till I move to phase three. However, phase two is a learning experience for me. I do throw up when my body doesn't agree with it or if I don't chew my food 28 times. But I've gotten smart, I now put my foods through a good processor where is greetings everything up for me so I can eat. Note: I'm only able to consume about 3 to 4oz of food, sometime less than that. But the key is to pay attention to your pouch be or stomach. Also, the main key is to get your 64 oz of Water and 2 Protein Shake before attempting to eat. Anyway, if you have any question please feel free to ask.

My sleeve was 6/21. I also struggle with the Protein Shakes and Vitamins tasting chalky. My Nutritionist wants me to do 75 gm/day Protein. I think that is excessive, lucky if I get half of that. It really is trial and error when it comes to foods. Also having daily headaches, struggle to get all the Water in now, fills up too fast.

I'm 6 wks post op and have lost 35 lbs. Had no energy for the 1st few weeks but starting to pick up. I have a problem with the Vitamins, everything tastes chalky and gross. Any suggestions for a decent Multivitamin? calcium citrate? I should be advanced to regular diet in a week or so. I have hit 2 plateaus already, is this normal?

We fall off the wagon the moment we begin using food as something other than what it really is intended for: nutrition to fuel our bodies' basic activities.
Some people use food as an emotional crutch. Others use food to bestow enjoyment upon their lives (e.g., the satisfaction of feeling full after eating at the all-you-can-eat buffet). Others use food to conquer boredom or loneliness. Some people use food to deal with stress.
Some people use food as an escape mechanism because they subconsciously dislike themselves. For some, food is their drug. Here's a saying: "Addiction is an attempt to escape from yourself. Recovery is an attempt to discover yourself."
If we find ourselves regularly reaching for junk food rather than real food, it's a surefire sign we're using food for purposes other than intended.
