  1. WOW! Sounds like you sure have been through the mill! Glad your doing better everyday! Keep us all posted as to your progress. Best wishes for a speedy recovery !
  2. I'm not there yet, but almost sounds like iron poor blood. Have you talked to your team? Also, seems really early in the game, might just need more time to adjust?!? Keep us posted as to what you find out :-)
  3. I would go right to the source, ask a recruiter, or a lawyer :-)
  4. I'm still pre-op, but I started swimming years and years ago. It was hard to be seen in a swim suit at my size, but I have yet to see anyone at my YMCA pool who actually looks good in a suit :-) Anyway, I lap for 30 minutes 5 days a week, and M-W-F I belong to a class called Hydro Power (aerobic exercise in the water). That class is 60 minutes. I look forward to post weight loss so I can weight train, and I want to learn Ti-Chi. Once I lose 130-lbs, the possibilities are endless ! Good luck on your journey !
  5. Gee, that does seem like a long time on liquids only. What was her rational for that? If everything is healing properly, if it were me, I'd experiment with some soft foods. Hope things work out for you! Keep us posted :-)
  6. I'm not there yet, but I've had other surgeries over the years and one thing is for sure, I always think WHY did I do this! It's early in the game, and from what I've read on this site, everything takes time! Hang in there! One day at a time. I predict very soon you will turn the corner and things will start looking up! One day in December when I'm in your shoes, you can remind me of the same thing :-) Praying you get some relief soon !
  7. My date is tentatively Dec. 14th. Fingers crossed!
  8. I'm just guessing, but I think it's only been a few days, so give it some time to return to "normal". Always ask your medical team any and all questions you may have. That's what their there for :-) Good luck on your journey to a lean, strong, happy and healthy life
  9. I'm not sure about the intestines, but my doc said the stomach juices will help with digestion. Good point though, I'm going to ask again when I see him next month.
  10. Good luck to you! Keep your eye on the horizon. #lean #strong #happyandhealthy
  11. I called BCBS, asked for requirements. They told me ask my hospital and WLS team. My team dropped the ball, failed to tell me I had to do 6 months supervised weight and education. I was supposed to have surgery in October. Now my date is Dec. 14th. Still waiting for insurance approval.
  12. I have to do 6 months. I have BCBS of Iowa
  13. Oh no! Geez, I hope it turns out to be nothing! Keep us posted, good luck !
  14. Oh gosh, I never thought of that! I'm not there yet, my date is Dec. 14th. I can see how that is an issue though. I hope you can get some help, and find relief !

  22. My daughter in law made some kale chips once awhile back, I thought oh brother, these are going to suck, but they were so good. Crunchy and salty. I'm not sure, but I gotta think they would be some what healthy.
  23. Sorry, that's supposed to be Vacation!
  24. Hi all, my date is set for Dec. 13th. My question is, we are having a family reunion at WDW the middle of March fallowing surgery. How bad is that going to be? Is 12 weeks post-op enough time to travel?
