  1. I did this after my knee replacement surgery, the needle is so short and small I could it even feel it. Really no big deal [emoji1303][emoji4]
  2. If I may ask, how much do you have to pay?
  3. When is your surgery?
  4. I have BCBS IOWA I have to do 6 months supervised diet and can not have a gain.
  5. I have BCBS Wellmark Iowa with reciprocity in Minnesota (Mayo). I still have to do the 6 months supervised diet with a physician [emoji853] I just hope they don't spring some other requirements on me at the last minute!
  6. I started this process last May. I did everything that was required only to find out I have to do 6 months supervised diet/weight with a physician. This is why my surgery date is in December. But, and this is a big but, I won't be finished with my 6 months till the first part of November, my hospital team says that may not be enough time to get approved. I'm blaming my hospital for not telling me months ago about this, I could have been on the schedule in October. I'm trying to be positive, it will happen when it happens I guess.
  7. Hello all, I have a date, Dec. 12th. All though, only if insurance comes through. It could be a timing issue. I'm desperately hoping for surgery at that time for several reasons. One, my deductibles have been met for the year, and the other reason, I have a family reunion at WDW in March. If I have to wait till the new year, I might go ahead and schedule surgery after the reunion. My question is, how healed do you think I will be 2 1/2 months after surgery?
  8. What is NUT ? And where is FEP ?
  9. Congratulations! [emoji322] Keep up the great progress!
  10. Hello, Started this process May of 2017. Finished 8 weeks of behavior modification classes and now have 6 monthly weight visits with my hometown doctor. Did anyone else have to do that? It is an insurance thing. I have Iowa BC/BS. I'm still hoping to get my surgery in before the end of the year since my deductible has been met. Anyone out there still in the " jumping through hoops" phase?
  11. I had to do that after my by lateral knee replacement. My Dr. has mentioned vitamin shots in my tummy every month for the rest of my life, but nothing about blood thinners. Makes sense though. Nothing to it, can't even feel the needle![emoji1303]
