  1. Well I got the call yesterday that my insurance approved my DS .My data is 10/25/17.I would like to know what side effects I should expect and if anyone regrets having the DS.

I'm still pre op for DS, do you mind telling what insurance do you have, and how long did it take to get approved? Congratulations on your date, I know your excited!

  2. It's exciting so naturally you want to share it! But I agree, before my surgery I didn't tell many people. But now, I'm proud of how far I came and I tell anyone who asks. It definitely is NOT the easy way out like people think.

But to answer your question, the hardest part was just the adjusting to being around people eating yummy food and not being able to eat it, or enjoy it. I still struggle to eat slow to this day, and let me tell you...I pay the price every time. You'll learn quickly how much you can eat, and you'll know when you've ate too much. It's just the process of adjusting. It's really all mental.

I can't wait to be where you are! I'm a really fast eater so I need to practice eating slow too! I had 4 kids so I had to eat really fast or I didn't eat! But obviously I choked it down! lmao!
