  10. I am a year and half out and cannot tolerate any meat. I can eat a few shrimp and they stay down ok. I basically live on protein shakes, BariatricPal hot cocoa and cottage cheese. ?
  11. Congratulations ???
  12. Fluffy, I completed my profile. Perhaps you and the others can give me some advice on the whole meat eating and staying down problem ? I would love to eat some steak again !!!

  14. I want to follow my old Atkins plan, but since surgery I am unable to eat meat and keep it down. Every time I eat meat I throw it up after about 5 minutes, my sleeve just won’t tolerate it ☹️

  16. Thank you all ~ my life has changed so much since WLS !!!!!!!!
  17. Pre-op to 11 months post-op. Best thing I ever did for myself!!!!
  18. I’m a teacher; I had my surgery and went back in two weeks. After about one month I had to take FMLA for about 3 weeks due to exhaustion ☹️. Everyone and every job is different ~ just listen to your body.
  19. I am 1 year and 3 months out and I drink water just as normally as I did before surgery.
  20. My worst part was taking pain pills by mouth, my surgeon fixed it by prescribing me liquid Tylenol 3, which I only needed for a couple days. After about day 3 each day I felt 100% better than the day before ~
  21. I eat lots of cottage cheese, yogurt, almonds, and do protein shakes. I haven’t exercised except running around like a madman at work ?
  22. You need a new shirt, that one is way too big !!!! You look amazing ?
  23. I’m 7 months out and only eat 300 to 400 calories day. If I get in my protein, there is no room for anything else
  24. My surgeon said swimming was fine 1 and 1/2 week after surgery
  25. Congrats on being just obese. I remember when that was my goal too. I’m finally got to just overweight from morbidly obese and can’t wait to get to healthy weight !!!
  26. I was sleeved on 7/18/17. Started at 262 and I am currently 162. Anything is possible on this journey
