August 17 Sleevers???
I'm on the 18th but I'm in Australia, so should be the same day as you. I've started preop and it's not too bad. I'm going back to work 4 days after except I requested to work from home for two weeks. I'd like to know how you go tho because I'd rather be in the office then stuck inside my house Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

Any tips to get through pre-op liquid diet??
I've been on the OPTIFAST preop diet and honestly I'd rather be doing yours. Actually, I kinda have been because the milky shakes make me want to throw up. Been living off sugar free drinks and sugar free jelly and lots of vegetables. First 3 days are hard then you don't really notice anymore (: good luck Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

Lost 290 pounds- Self Esteem issues
I'm a fatty who carries it all on my stomach, butt and thighs and my chest remains a B cup! I'm more than 100lb overweight and still have a boney chest. So, to flatter my figure I wear 'skater' cut dresses. They make your lower half look like you have nice curvey hips (: I'm not sure how old you are or your style, but this is just an example picture (: also if you wore a padded bra under this dress design your boobs would look pretty plump And try not to stress too much (: just stay positive for your next surgery xx

Needing help!
Optislim is the same but cheaper. Also buying online makes a big difference. Other weight loss shakes aren't usually complete meal replacements. Want you want is a VLCD meal replacement shake. Also, there's probably so many people on this forum with left over shakes that live near you. Maybe they'd be willing to give them over? I can't imagine anyone wanting to hold on to them when they don't have to haha [emoji14] Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

Finding Happiness
I'm going to make an assumption here, and assume that most people on this forum are like me. Food makes me happy. Binging is amazing. My entire life revolves around food. When I go out, I think about the food near me. Any alone time I have is for binging. It's the one thing that truly excites me and I live for it. But it's also killing me. So now, with my surgery on the 18th, I'm trying to mentally picture myself being just as forfilled by something else in life, but I can't. Surely there is something out there that can make me just as excited and happy as food? I don't think a career will forfill that void. Maybe hiking? Being able to do more? I still think I'd get bored. I'm hoping that one day when I have children that will do the trick. I'm hoping that some people who are post op can please give me some things to look forward to that actually make them truly happy. Something that makes you want to get up in the morning

Need advice
I told my partner I was having it. Didn't ask for his opinion. I started by talking bout how it would benefit him. More confidence in his girlfriend, sex with easier positions, happier girlfriend, faster time to get ready when going out, nice booty for him to stare at. Just silly little things that made it seem more fun for him and less scary [emoji14] Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

Need advice
The surgery is safer than long term food addiction. Surgery with experienced doctors vs diabetes, heart disease, weakened/painful joint's and the many many other health risks that come with obesity. It's definitely worth it in the long run. Definitely make the decision on your own and ask for his support. Just because he doesn't want you to do it doesn't mean that's the right choice. Maybe you could find someone in your local area who has had the surgery and get them to sit down with you and him. Might help show him that it's not too scary and the benefits are awesome Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

NO Carbonated beverages- FOREVER!
Okay well this post is scary. I love my diet coke. It is sorta like my crutch. Something sweet without the calories. I don't mind giving them up, cos really it's just a drink. But.. What about as a mixer after!? How will I have my bourbon and coke? I probably won't drink for 6+ months out, but I'm only 26! Can't rule out soft drink forever Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

Splitting Headache
I have taken Panadol with caffeine in it and it's gotten a bit better. I can still feel it lingering. I'd love to have broth but no idea how to get it? I live in Australia. How do you make/buy broth? Haha!

Splitting Headache
I started my first day of pre op liquids yesterday, and by night time I had a mild headache. Worked up at 3am and felt like my head was going to explode. It was so painful. Took some ibuprofen and codeine and eventually went back to sleep. Woke up for work and I can still feel it lingering. I don't know if I'm sick, having caffiene withdrawals or if my body is upset. I'm on VLCD optifast. Has anyone else had headaches when switching to liquids?

At goal... now below goal
You've probably tried this, but also adding peanut butter to shakes? One tablespoon is about 100cals? Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

At goal... now below goal
This sounds horrible I hope they find a solution for you. Stay strong! Only suggestion I can think of is a type of drink they give to people with anorexia. It's very high in calories and nutrients. Obviously not implying you have anorexia, but it could help! I don't know what it's called though so you'd have to ask your doctor. Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

My weight loss
Congrats! You look amazing (: I can totally relate to this! I'm 26 but wanted this surgery years ago. My BMI is 40 and I've just had my first pre op shake. I'm so excited. I love how you've expressed what you've learned. This is exactly the benefits I want from this surgery. I want to lose weight, but I also want to learn control and discipline! That's where the change really lies in my opinion. You sound very healthy both inside and out (: congrats again Sent from my LG-H850 using BariatricPal mobile app

Swallowing pills post op
Just wondering how people are managing post op with their medication. I take 3 tablets a day that are slow release so they can't be crushed. Worried it will take forever to get all three down haha

5 days post op working?
Hey, I'm having my surgery in a couple weeks and want to know if anyone has worked from home after their surgery? I have just come back from annual leave and this surgery is kinda fast moving and I didn't expect to be booked in so fast. I can't take any leave so planning on working from home. I'm just worried I'll be so sleepy
