  1. @Sosewsue61 I'll look into him. I enjoy a good laugh. And people on here seem to miss that or can't read between the lines. This forum is fairly stuffy that way. Good luck on your journey! You wont regret it! Just beware of the crows on here.
  2. @jess9395 haha, its not threatening at all. Mocha toss a hashtag insulting me in a side slanted way. Saying eat the meat and toss the bones. And his/her irrelevant opinions can be tossed in the bones pile. If you need further clarification let me know.
  3. @Sara Bronson Yea Whisps are awesome and are a staple in our house as my wife is also running a keto diet. I can't do pork rinds. Never been a fan.
  4. @MochaKelly Keep wearing that cape there fella. Again you and others are saving me so much $ on my psychiatrist bills... I'll be tossing you in the bones pile...
  5. @JohnnyCakes can no one take a joke. The whole "knife fight" thing was supposed to be funny. I call my incisions my stab wounds... come on now
  6. @Berry78 right now I'm hitting 80-90 consistently but in a couple week when I move to full solid food I want to be above 100-120
  7. @GBLady41 Bullying? You're kidding right? When someone questions my motivation or ability to succeed by falsely judging.. you bet your ass I'm going to slap back. Please keep your irrelevant opinion to yourself. Some peoples kids I tell ya...
  8. @OutsideMatchInside it's all good! Thanks for the well wishes! Good luck on your journey as well.
  9. @Dabearo lol! I'm not being aggressive at all. I'm just tired of all the internet heros and their capes offering nothing more than their own insecurities and struggles masked by calling them opinions. This isn't a black and white thing. What works for some won't work for others. As the above said, I'm 6'3 muscular man. Not a 5'3 woman. So my outcome and journey will already be drastically different that these ladies. My original post was me just stating that I haven't had any of the issues that the majority of the people at my stage in postop seem to be having. At the end of the day, if you can toss encouragement but rather come at people with judgment and horses-hit comments....Then you can kick rocks and find your self a hug for your unhappy selves. Have a good night.
  10. @jess9395 You are reading me like a book. Thanks for the psychoanalysis over the internet... save me huge $ on my therapy bills... smh... I didn't share my story because no one really cares. But everyone seems to have their own judgmental opinions on something that is super individual and personal. But because you seem to continue to comment. I was a healthy muscular 275lb before I hit a mental breakdown and walked into a 3 year depression and ballooned. Those dark years stole a lot of my life. I'm back to a healthy mindset and in trying to match my physical with my mental and emotional state I chose to have the surgery. What you don't know is up here in Canada its a 3-4 year wait to get your first consultation. So I chose Mexico from 2 referrals of the same doctor. It was a great decision and I'm dropping lb's left and right. I have a dietician and a personal trainer set up so I get all the advice I need. I'm glad you found your success, and I hope for you the best. But please keep your opinions and judgment to yourself.
  11. @Diana_in_Philly Talking to my trainer the other day, he said with my muscle mass and body shape I need to be consuming at least that or my existing muscle will be gone. And my meals are very much protein heavy if not entirely. My goal is to hit 120g of protein by month 3 here when I start hitting the gym. I'm working my ass off not to have to get plastics for my loose skin. I may be 400lbs but I have the body of a 300lb guy due to the muscle mass I carry as a farm boy.
  12. @jess9395 How do you figure? Please share with me your great and all knowing about who I am and what my motivations are... Enlighten me... smh... Common now.
  13. @bschmidt25 Trust me. That will pass quicker than you'll realize. I can now drink normal again. The whole sipping water also was lost on me pretty early on. I still struggle to get enough water, largely because I dont carry a bottle with me everywhere I go, which I probably should. Right now my day usually consists food wise. Breakfast - 2 eggs scrambled with a little salsa 11am snack - protein shake (45-55g of protein) that I nurse into the afternoon. Lunch - some deli meat and some cheese or a puree soup Afternoon snack - pepporoni stick or a sf jello (or two) Supper - 1/2 canned chicken with light mayo and buffalo sauce Night snack - handful of whisps or nuts or sf pudding. My crutch is the late night need to crunch. Thats a habit I'm working on breaking. Rice cakes and gum are my work around. But I think I might need to go cold turkey all together. The mental game is far harder than the physical. I'm getting around 90g of protein per day but want to up that eventually when I move into full solids in a week or two. My water intake is currently around 1.5-2 liters. (50-70 oz)
  14. @OutsideMatchInside I'm glad you found success. For me I need to know my boundaries. Not just with food, but with so much of life. So I unapologetically do so. And I am stubborn enough (to the point of getting in a knife fight with my surgeon) to loose this weight. So I'm not worried. Not that you need to know my story, but my wife and I are wanting to start a family and this is for her and the future niños. So my motivation is clear.
  15. @jess9395 I had a bite of a cupcake from my wifes birthday. No issues. Had a 5cent candy as well. No issue. Ate a bite of pasta salad at a wedding. No issue. I'm testing my boundries a little because I feel 100% normal..and all I read on these forums is that I'm the abnormal one...

    Social Drinking?

I am 6 weeks out in 2 days and I can drink (my Dr. green lighted me) the brown stuff (bourbon, whiskey) and red wine, with zero issue. I had a sip of my wifes long island... no dice. Carbonation isn't your friend. But I had to test it to see how my stomach would react... Just gassy and burpy for hours after.

    Can I eat this?

Regain is classified gaining weight after you hit your goal though... So yea, people do, but that is even extremely varied. Some can and do gain it all back, but I'd chalk that up to the exception and those who have absolutely zero discipline/mental health/injury etc.

    Can I eat this?

@MochaKelly You must have voted for trump for all that "winning" you are doing. As for your over opinionated self. Good luck in life kid. Hope that cape you wear keeps you flying.

    Can I eat this?

Some people seem to have a hero complex. I get it. Save us all please. At the end of the day. The buck stops with the individual. I take my WLS serious as anyone but I'm not going to standby while you forum shame me or anyone over a 10c sucker. Once again. The OP asked "can she".. the answer is always "of course you can"... but we all must ask ourselves "should we..." @MochaKelly have you found that hug yet?

    Can I eat this?

^ this ^... not helpful. Lets not project your own insecurities and struggles onto others. This journey isn't a one size fits all. So calm yourself. I don't get why people are so quick to judge and assume on here.... find yourself a hug.

    Cramping after eating?

@kajameetsworld I felt normal as well. It's weird but you will soon realize that life has indeed changed forever. Polysporin is awesome for those knife wounds.

    Cramping after eating?

@sleevedshereen It gets easier for sure. I moved into my puree and some really soft foods earlier than my DR. had me set on due to low energy and me feeling extremely ready for the next phase. Glad I did. I'm able to eat cheese, deli meat (which is a staple meal for me these days. Or that Ricotta Bake or a Mex Bake. And now have zero issue hitting my protein goals. (With the shake included). Water is a tough one. I've never been a sipper so training on that... I miss being able to regularly take in 3-4 liters a day, usually crushing lots in a short time. Gone are those days. Good luck on your journey. Its not easy but it definitely is worth it.

    Cramping after eating?

@sleevedshereen That pulling pain that shoots from your stomach to your shoulder left me by day 5 or 6. So no, if you are, hopefully that passes quickly for ya. I also have a stupid high pain threshold so very little bothers me anymore... outside of feeling like I'm going to pass out if I don't eat properly... I randomly get indigestion/rumble gut pain.. Which I'm not sure if thats what you have. But I chalk it up to my gut throwing a temper tantrum because of all the change... That stall is real though. I think I read it has something to do with the body transitioning from the whey protein to actual food protein and figuring out how to burn it properly... I don't know if that's real or not. But I had my stall break only a couple days ago. So don't worry too much about it.
