  1. When you just don't feel it but you know you need to go. Just get there! Once you're in the door you will feel better! 9 weeks and counting! HW 328, SW 312, CW 258!! Thanks to my surgery being done right the first time! Thanks Long Term WLS Dr Jorge Maytorena [emoji173] forever grateful! Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app

  3. I have missed a couple days this week but normally I go 5 days a week. Cardio I usually do the elliptical or treadmill inclined for at least a mile to 1.5 miles then I do some weights, sit ups, squats with overhead press with either a med ball or weighted poll, I do those fast in order to keep my heart rate up. And on weight machines or free weights I do arms one day legs the next. I try to mix things up a bit so I don't burn out. Plus my body doesn't get used to the same routine. Key is to make sure you get something in most days of the week. I'm doing my best to not have a lot of excess skin. Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. Yes I definitely have to get back at it! I'm running crazy again this afternoon too. It looks like I'm gonna have to go in the mornings so I can get it done. Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Well it won't allow me to post it but their website is www.longtermwls.com My coordinator was Ruben, super sweet guy and very helpful! Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I'm only 9 weeks out but I can only get in like 450-650 max and the 650 end is if I really push it. Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app

  8. I have become quite a gym rat haha! It's a great addiction to have. In fact with working late and having errands I missed tonight and I feel terrible for it. Wednesday and Sundays are my "rest days". But I love the gym now. Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Hang in there! I stalled for about 2 weeks. I mean no loss! But I was down a pant size. You're losing but your body is holding onto water. Basically what happens is when your losing fat your body replaces those fat cells with water. Keep working and the water will come off. Hang in there! It WILL happen if you stick to the plan. I weighed one day and bam 5 pounds gone! Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I feel completely normal... until I over do it on that "one more bite" or that "last gulp of shake". I'm not nor have I ever been a water drinker so I'm having a hard time with that. Other than that I am full force in the gym and doing everything normal. I'll be 9 weeks out Monday but been doing this for about 4 weeks now. Down 68 pounds since I started preop. 11. This is totally happening! I can finally see a difference in myself even though everyone else said they already saw it. All this thanks to my amazing surgical team! Thanks Long Term WLS, Dr Maytorena and my awesome coordinator Ruben! [emoji173][emoji123][emoji109]? getting stronger and smaller one day at a time! So blessed to have had the best Surgeon! VSG done right the first time! Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. Thank you all so much! I am doing sit ups and cardio as well as incorporating some weight training to hopefully avoid alot of loose skin. If any of you have any additional tips on that they are appreciated! I believe my success is because my surgeon did my sleeve the right way to begin with. I see many people that have to have revision soon after surgery because they plateau quick. That, based on my research is due to the sleeve being done too loosely to begin with Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. 9 months ago when I took the picture on the left I was miserable, depressed and down right disgusted with myself. Yesterday July 23rd, 9 weeks post op I decided to take some new pictures. The one on the right is one of those pictures. I am so thankful I had such an amazing surgeon and team members. They made sure my surgery was done properly in order to make sure my success is achievable. Dr Maytorena, Long Term WLS, and my coordinator gave me so much more than I could ever have imagined. In 9 short weeks, yes you read that right, I am down over 50 pounds almost 70 pounds counting my preop! I feel better than I have in years! I have more self esteem, better sleep, I'm more active and I now love my life again! I wanted this more than anything in the world and my team made sure it was done the right way, to begin with in order for me to be successful. For that I am forever grateful! If you want to be successful as well I highly recommend these guys. I am not affiliated with them at all other than I had my sleev there. I am sharing my story in hopes that it inspires someone else. Don't ever give up because YOU CAN SUCCEED!!! Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app

  17. I'm in the gray top. Down 66 pounds since I started preop!! I workout at least 4-5 times a week even if it's swimming or just walking. I am totally in awe at the progress I've made so far and looking forward to seeing myself 6 months out. I could not have asked for a better surgeon, coordinator and nurses! I did a lot of research and found a lot of surgeons that were not working up to standard. Please make sure to do your research. My local physician here did her own research as well and informed me she found nothing but great things about Dr Maytorena and the Long Term WLS team. I have read too many horror stories to sit back and not tell my experience with these guys. Feel free to message me if you would like to ask me anything about my experience. 19. Thank you! At the time they had the 3,499 deal going it included everything but the airfare and our hotel because we got there early. You should definitely check them out. My regular physician here told me she even researched Dr Maytorena and found absolutely nothing negative. Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I'm only 7 weeks out myself. Just relaying info others have given me. [emoji4] I'm so glad others weighed in on this! Maybe that gives you better insite. Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. I had mine with Long Term wls May 29th. This was 2 days post op. I'm down 64 pounds today at just over 7 weeks! I am so thankful I did this! I went when they had a special $3,499 plus my airfare. Totally worth every penny! Love my surgeon and so did my PCP here. She said Dr Maytorena did an amazing job, And the records they sent home with me for my file here was outstanding! Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. I would suggest a "pouch reset" liquid phase for a few days. Maybe that will help. How many calories are you taking in per day? And keep an eye on protein, water and carb counts also. Hope it helps! Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app

  24. Just wanted to introduce myself and share my progress with you all. My name is Melissa, I'm 41 years old and I had the gastric sleeve. I researched for months before deciding on a surgeon and then my PCP (my regular physician) researched as well. She was all for my using Dr Maytorena through Long Term WLS in Tijuana. My PCP was extremely pleased with the professionalism, the records I brought back to her including every test they ran, every medication i was given and the xray cd showing my leak test. She even says when I go back there for a visit I have to take her with me. Haha! I had an amazing experience overall. The facility was the cleanest I've been in, the staff was absolutely wonderful and took great care of me. I have not had any issues at all since coming home and my coordinator Ruben and Dr Jorge Maytorena have both checked on me since I've been home. I am down 50 pounds since the surgery May 29th and a total of 64 overall since preop. If you are considering WLS I would definitely recommend them. Below is a collage showing before photos on the left and my current progress on the right. I am ecstatic to see where this journey takes me! If you are researching surgeons and have questions about my personal experience I would love to chat. [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G935U using BariatricPal mobile app
