Hello
It’s been 3 weeks since my gastric sleeve. I am on soft foods now. I have eaten a whole egg with some cheese to soften it no problem, I’ve tried having a healthy version of Nutella when I felt dizzy - no problem no dumping. bread feels uncomfortable and heavy in my stomach. Other than I have no problem with foods and eating. I do feel thirsty sometimes and have the urge to chug ice coldwater , of course I haven’t. Any tips on keeping thirst at bay? How many “sips” can you have at once 3 weeks post op?
The only downside is I feel dizzy if I’m squatting or standing up. Even though I have been cleared for exercise and I’m so eager to start to help avoid sagging, the dizziness is scaring me.. I don’t want to faint.
PS: I tried the ricotta bake.. it was good but too oily and rich for me.

I had mine on the 3rd of February, stayed 2 nights at the hospital. It was a relatively easy surgery. Much much easier than I expected. I didn’t feel the need to take any pain meds at home, I just rested/slept a lot the first day or two at home.
The key is walking as soon as you can to get that gas moving.

I just had mine on 3 February. It was so much easier than I expected. There is some pain, but you get all the pain meds and nausea meds in the hospital. I stayed 2 days in the hospital. Once I got home, I didn’t need any of the nausea and pain meds. I was just annoyed at how dry my throat and mouth feel. I go on daily walks since I left the hospital, I only had one “low energy” day where I just did not do anything. Now I make sure to always have something to drink with me so that I don’t forgot to hydrate. I’m never hungry... but boy were the cravings real yesterday!!
YOU CAN DO IT.

So my surgery is next week. I have done a lot of research and watching vlogs.. EVERYONE drinks Protein Shakes post-op. So when I asked my nutritionist about what type of Protein Shake I should be having.. like what carb content, Protein etc. She advised against it as it could cause complications such as heart palpitations.
I think that's weird..... anyone heard about this? Should I just ignore?

@Berry78 Yes my insurance won't cover it, so I would be paying for it on my own ($16,000). My doctor hasn't said anything regarding my weight an pregnancy. It's my personal choice, I do not want to be at risk of pregnancy complications like gestational diabetes, preeclampsia. The problem with the diets I have tried is that If I loose, it's a small loss, which makes me frustrated and not continue with the diet. I have been loosing the same 11 pounds for so long!

Hi
I am Mary, 30 years old and I weigh 202lbs my BMI is 34.6, I gained most of my weight during pregnancy. My baby is now 2 years old, and before having another child I need to lose weight. After failed attempts (dieting, weight watchers, workout 5x a week with 3 different personal trainers), I decided to have weight loss surgery - specifically the Omega loop/mini gastric bypass. No date scheduled yet, getting all the pre surgery tests done.
I have never had any surgery so I don't really know what to expect! Anyone on here had this surgery recently? Any insight would be appreciated, regarding recovery, food intake, pregnancy after surgery, etc..

I started the Bariatric Advantage Multivitamin Chewy - I feel nauseous right after taking one.... anyone else the same? Do you get use to it? Or is it better to switch Vitamins?
