  1. I am 5 days out but not actually hungry. I'm having a hard time getting the Water and the Protein in. My goal today is to get more protein in so I'm not so weak. I think my BODY is hungry but I'm not feeling it as hunger, I'm just sensing a weakness.
My nut allows Greek yogurt and veg juice too now, maybe yours does too, just for a variety for my hungry co-sleevers? I bought them but haven't touched them yet.

We must of had our surgery on the same day - July 18th? I too have had troubles getting the water in or enough liquids for that matter. I tried Greek yogurt but I think it's too heavy cause it caused diarrhea. Been really weak and tired, but tomorrow is another day and will try to get all the liquid in. Keep up the fight.

  2. I am on day 3 after the sleeve. Day 2 was pretty tough with spasms when drinking, but after some meds it settled down. Still feel tight and uncomfortable, but today was a lot better than yesterday, and I hope tomorrow will be better still.
I had a "hot sweat" yesterday when I had my first bit of yoghurt.. I think I had just drank before, or possibly after, so that's why. Wasn't pleasant, and wont be making that mistake again. 30min!
Hope everyone else is going well and getting better!

I'm on day 7 and our stories and experiences sound similar. I too had hot sweats and very uncomfortable feeling. When I ate yogurt it seemed too heavy for my pouch and caused diarrhea. I have to stick to broth and warm tea. I even made pudding but I didn't react well to the milk. Some days I'm so tired, but I'm hoping tomorrow is better and want to get out of the house. Keep being positive. We can do this.

  3. Sleeved 7/18. Have lost 10 lbs. Eating yogurt, Jello and pudding. Trying to drink enough. Feeling blah but getting rest due to the long travel home from surgery and spending 2 days at my sisters before finally getting home yesterday. So nice to be home and see my puppies

  4. I was honestly surprised at how easy it is NOW. I'll be 6 weeks post-op on Tuesday. I have had no issues or aversions to any foods or beverages. The only thing that is difficult for me and can make me uncomfortable every so often is eating too fast! I try to remind myself every day. But honestly I've never once been nauseous, never once vomited. Make sure you take your Miralax though... That almost became an issue for me.
In the first week, I struggled for a couple of days with getting my Protein and fluids in. However it now feels like that was nothing! I hope your journey is as smooth as mine has been thus far! I also feel like I read everything I possibly could, and expected all of these things to happen. Everyone is different. I'm feeling great, and grateful!! Good luck!

Congrats on your achievement. I'm getting ready to have my sleeve on Tuesday the 18th. I hope mine goes as smoothly. Can you give me any advice on post-op? I'm so excited. I'll be off work for 6 weeks and I'm looking forward to concentrating on myself and moving into this newest stage of my life.
