Plain, I'm sorry, but I'm laughing and that burns calories and I don't burn 3,500 a day!

    Question about Heavy Cream

Froggie, I had to check it out, I have something similar but it's a small food processor with a bullet attachment for smoothies etc... I don't know if you can whip up half and half, I think you need the fat content to do it but you can always try. They make a fat free cool whip and a sugar free cool whip, once you start experimenting with other things you'll find a good substitute for the "real mousse". They make an instant pudding that's sugar free and it's not that bad and also I think I've seen an instant mouse in the grocery store that is sugar free. Now it's not perfect but it's probably the closest thing you'll get to the same consistency and probably just need to wisk it. This is my expertize!!

Why are people afraid of atheism?

Okay I'll rephrase for you Plain: "I'd much rather my daughter be an atheist than an Evangelical Christian Nut Job who can't think for his/herself." Is that better?

    Question about Heavy Cream

Have you tried any of the sugar free puddings? I know not the same thing, you must be a gourmet chef. When my daughter was doing her shakes and only had vanilla I bought her all the flavorings they had in the spice isle. Nothing is better than the real deal but you sound creative. There is a contraction that turns skim milk into a whipped cream consistency is that what you have?

Come out of the band failure closet!

I can't tolerate the "Proz" but I have switched to a new antidepressant but they're all pretty much from the same class of drugs. I'm thinking of paying for extreme lipo! Out of pocket, of course! But first I need to get a job.
  17. Can we really fully trust any politician? I've always seen our presidents, especially those in the current era to be figure heads anyway. There is never just one person running the White House or our Country. From what I'm to assume my State will aways vote democratic, which I am by the way but I have been known to cross party lines. It's really difficult to get the straight scoop on anyone in the news. JMO.

Why are people afraid of atheism?

Baires, I guess I'm more like what you described in your second paragraph, that there is a goodness (godlike) quality present in all things. I still choose not to put a label on myself but that sits well with me. brandyII.

Dustydog, They gave us a patch for nausea, did they give her anything for it? It really helped my daughter and I after the anesthesia. Good luck and health to her and you of course too, brandyII:smile:

Come out of the band failure closet!

I think you and I must be somewhat similar when it comes body types or something. I'll ask my doctor next time I see him, my primary, if he'd order me a test, he'd do it on a heartbeat! Not that I'd be surprised at the results or anything or if it's really necessary. I already know I need many less calories than probably someone who was my age, weight, sex, height, I don't know why but I do recall the last two times I was able to lose weight was 1. on the all liquid Medifast diet prior to surgery and that goes without saying that it was about 600 cals a day and 2. when I was on Meridia but was also off my antidepressants and had almost a nauseous feeling which kept me down to a low caloric intake too. I can exercise but unless I taking in a lower calorie intake than I'd like I won't lose and it sucks!!!!!! I can't do Meridia again because I refuse to go off my antidepressants because it makes me into a crazy beeeatch so in order for me stick with a lower intake of calories I'd have to go back to Medifast!! I've come full circle and then kind of made a pretzel!:scared2:Help!!

    Spanking

Does it always work out after spanking a child. I mean you spank a child once does that mean they will never offend again? It's the same thing, just another method of discipline, don't know what's so complicated about it. Kids are kids, it's part of their make up to test the limits. Giving them a time out may make it more painful for the parent than the child but it's still a manner of discipline. I think it's easier in the long run for parents to spank than to use other methods which we've previously gone over before.
  24. Darn Mac, I was hoping to see that one too!

Come out of the band failure closet!

Athinnerdenise, She's doing well and looks great! I don't know how much weight she's actually lost but over the past two months, most of it prior to surgery, she's lost a lot and is smiling again and is getting a bit more active. The heat has hit us hard in our area as we're known for our pretty mild summers. I know it will all go in stages for her and I can't tell her what to do but I can be there to help her if she wants it or guide her towards someone or some place. Naturally I worry about the future and what it hold for her but she's still young and I think that once she gets used to her new body she'll be able to deal with all the good and bad that comes along with it. How do they do that resting metabolic test? I also hope that there are changes that come along with studying obesity in medicine and more is done to make things better for us in general. I don't know anyone personally who has had the surgery, either surgeries so I can't compare and contrast just from what I know from various sources including this forum. For her this is her dream come true pretty much and I just have to have faith that she'll do well. I wish both our daughters well and thanks for asking. Nancy:smile:
