  1. I feel all of your pain as well. I am currently 6 weeks post op and lately been having terrible gas pain discomfort. I went to go see my PCP yesterday to see whats up. My doc informed me that the reason we are having so much as is due to our gallbladder. This is quite common for someone having WLS which makes your gallbladder work hard with burning your fat. Hope this sheds some light......

  2. Hey I got banded on the 18th too, stayed over night which glad I did.....they helped give me some pain meds. I too and having some pain when getting up and down specially from the toilet as its a little bit lower than the one in the hospital. I think most of my pain and soreness is coming from the PCA pump which is glued to the middle of my chest. I also have started to have some pain in my legs.....talked to my pcp and he doesn't think its a clot as it wouldn't be in both legs. I just feel as my muscles in the back of my legs are tight as hell. Good luck to you all and keep us posted!

  3. Hey I just home from surgery yesterday. I too stayed overnight. I didn't get much sleep but I continued to walk as much as I could. I am also having trouble sitting or even getting up from the toilet. But all in all, I am feeling great just sore in the mid section. I am on instant bk for the rest of the week and go to 2nd phase of soft foods. My one suggestion to anyone getting banded here on out is walk, just walk anytime you can.

    Thanks

  4. Hey Agw, I am getting banded at St. Marys too on 8/18. I go for my lab work this coming wed. According to my paperwork is say I don't have to fast which is kinda odd. Did you have your pre-op testing yet? I am getting banded by Dr. Brengman. Also how long have you been on the pre-op diet?

  5. Help.......I have just completed my first week of pre-op diet which consisted of a slim fast shake for Breakfast and lunch, afternoon snack of cottage cheese and a low-cal ham or turkey sandwich. I have done really really well with losing almost 10 pounds this week. I am just so jonesing for a pizza or cheeseburger from 5 five guys....lol

I know it's sad, and I need to make a strong effort if I wanna take a serious approach to getting banded. Any suggestions on how to cope with the hunger spells?

    Thanks
