  1. Tomorrow? Today? Technically it's 2 am and I can't sleep. My surgery is at 7:30am. I am a bundle of nerves; not much for the surgery itself, but the aftermath. I have spent the last 8 months preparing and yet I feel so unprepared! Good news today though, weighed in today at 100lbs down from my starting weight on Nov 29th, 2016!! From 410 to 310. Wish me luck and any tips would be so great and appreciated C58C9011-A33C-4D11-8BA6-CB7E30841B90.jpg EA8F89D5-C4F0-4CAF-996F-B08DBAE2A182.jpg

  2. Well I think it all depends on your BMI about what kind of diet they put you on before. The liquid diet is to essentially shrink the liver so you must weigh less and maybe not have a fatty liver. You're lucky haha actually the pre-opt has been great. I have been blending my Protein Shakes up to give them a little froth making them a tad more filling and that has been my life saver...oh and a couple sugar free popsicles to break up the monotony.

  3. Well so far they kind of just threw me into my liquid diet alone. Next Monday I go to a pre-op bariatric class so I'm guessing that is to prepare me for surgery and really speak further in depth on what to expect before, during and immediately after. I also see my surgeon one last time on Monday as well. It's been a bit of a whirlwind to be honest. How are you doing with your pre-op liquid diet? How did your appt go?

  4. Hey everyone my is Sarah and I'm 30 from northern Indiana. I am 2 days into my 2 week liquid diet before my VSG on July 25th. I am pretty alone in this journey thus far. I know of no one personally who has had the surgery and so am left searching the interwebs for some friendly souls who may be willing to help me through this next step. I started my journey with a clinic on November 29, 2016 at 410lbs. As of Monday, I weighed in at 320 making an even 90lbs lost so far. I am really nervous but very excited for the new life to come. I've been reaching out to some on social media, sharing my progress and have gotten so much love and encouragement. I am very thankful for all that for sure, but I would LOVE a few people who have actually been down this road that I can talk to and maybe be able to ask questions if need be. This seems like a really great place. Hope to get to know a few of you!
