  1. Ok so I'm only 3.5 months post op vsg, so I'm obviously not planning on getting pregnant any time soon. Just some concerns and questions on my mind. I still want 2 more children, and I was wondering about the weight gain during and after pregnancy. I reeeally don't want to lose all the excess weight only to gain some of it back or (God forbid) half/all of it. I'm so scared and feel like I should have waited to get sleeved until I had my children. But- reality kicks in and I realize my health would have made it impossible for me to have them and raise them with being almost 300 pounds and God knows how much more I would have gained! So my question is to you ladies who had pregnancies after vsg; did you gain alot and did you lose it afterwards or what happened exactly? Did you feel like the sleeve went to waste and there was no point? This is my worst fear; to realize that the opportunity to lose the weight quickly wasn't used to its full potential.

  2. Hey August sleevers, my stats as of this morning is 51.8 lbs down with 1 week preop diet. 43.6 down since surgery. I started at 296.4 /day of surgery 286.4. Just wondering if anyone has similar stats and was sleeved around same time. I want to know if I am doing okay or not cuz I honestly feel I'm not losing fast enough. [emoji21]

Girl you are right on track. And you are doing better than me! My highest ever was 313 lbs. Starting weight was 296.4 beginning of preop, I'm now 244 lbs. I had the vsg on aug 14...so 3.5 months ago...only lost 48 lbs....compared to you who lost 40 lbs in only 2 months. Great job! And now I'M jealous haha

  4. Yes, we beat this topic into the ground.
If I offended you I apologise. You just had a rant..I ranted back.
When I'm sarcastic I get myself in trouble. Just bigger things to be offended about in life.
Can we all let go of this thread yet? or is the horse going to be beaten more?

I completely agree. I accept your apology and respect that you said your opinion and didn't continue to bash me like the others, so thanks for that. I apologize if I offended you as well. I find I get myself into trouble with my humour as well...as you can see lol. This thread is rediculous [emoji23]

Your message can accidentally come across as harsh or rude. Please do as you see fit. These women are twisting this post way out of proportion. I don't want to feed the fire. Yet I am bullied and called names such as bitchy judgemental troll etc. I have a right just as anyone on here to express what's on my mind and what bothers me. I called no one names and the post wasn't directed to anyone in particular. If the post rubbed people the wrong way, I can't help that they don't agree with my views. Again, delete this post or do whatever because I am being bullied for expressing my opinion. If noone agrees they can simply scroll on. It didn't have to go the way it has. And my comments after the fact are all responses to what they originally post. it's only natural that it gets nasty because I am human too! Thank you.

  7. Well, I for one enjoyed this thread -- silly, and I'm sure OP recognized that when she posted. I spot grammar errors all of the time. I only correct stuff that goes out professionally with my name on it. Everyone needs to relax. :-)

Completely agree. But I guess I'm different in that I mentioned it on a public board...so sue me lol... I meant no harm.

  8. I agree Ms. Fluffy!
I have a masters degree. I teach. I write 15 page comprehensive assessment reports on children. When I write from my phone, I make tons of errors. My phone also changes words on me. Guess what? I don’t give a damn. I’m writing quickly on a tiny keyboard. I’m lucky. I don’t have a disability and I speak English. I’m just lazy. So please give me a little break if my posts are not grammatically correct or have phonetic, semantic, or syntactic errors. I hope this feed does not discourage anyone from sharing their thoughts and needs. Let’s be inclusive! Not to mention, I love reading the posts from those who are still in the hospital and drugged up on pain killers- their grammar and spelling puts a smile on my face!

Another butt hurt educated person. At least you proved me right on one thing. No one on here has a disability they are just lazy. Thanks for that... it proves my point.

  9. Ok, so let me explain what bothered me so much about your original rant.
    1. There are people here who are so concerned with privacy, they won't speak up on the boards and ask questions.
    2. There are others who may fear speaking, because they either don't spell well, or have poor grammar, or speak English as their second language--so they don't ask questions.
    3. This is a support board, yet your OP was not light hearted. It didn't read that way from my perspective. So all I could think of is dayum...think of all the poor peeps who won't speak up cuz another one of these threads made it to the boards. (There are people that reticent to post.)
    4. It's shaming. And we're a support board. So why the need to shame?
    5. It's a rant. Put it in the dadgum rant section so I have something good to read over coffee tomorrow morning! Always the same! Nothin new in the rant section.
    6. Then you acted all prissy and no where did I get your humor or intent until you proclaimed it in the last couple of pages...too late.

With all due respect, I really don't care what bothered you about my post. Your ego is so much bigger then you know to think that I am here to please you or that I should work to not bother you. So keep your opinions to yourself. And your condescending tone of "too late" just shows how highly you think of yourself that I was "too late" in explaining myself to you. You my lady have a superiority complex and I for one will not feed into that.

  10. As Chief of the Grammar Police, you may want to review the Punctuation Guide on the proper placement of a period at the end of a sentence, with parentheses, and with quotation marks. You made sure to point out soready17’s grammatical errors but you also made some in your response.

I am in shock at how pissed off everyone is. I swear I meant it in good fun...but it just made people maaad. Thanks anyway. At least there are some people who get my humour and intent.

  11. Lol never said anyone was an idiot and never attacked anyone personally. Please go back to the original post and read it again. I was annoyed with the word loose used as lose and said they are different. Never made fun of anyone and didn't attack anyone. Also using loose instead of lose is NOT an innocent typo...you either know the difference or you don't. Just like I didn't know enough to use a lot instead. See? I learned something today too. I am NOT attacking anyone's learning capabilities...so stop making me sound like I'm evil. I'm not even close to that adjective. Excuse me for defending myself. Everyone can defend themselves without being a d**k to others.

  12. In reply to all who had a problem with my post... honestly I'm a good sport and I assumed you guys would get the jokes that I put out. I had an error in my grammar (alot/a lot)... and literally laughed out loud cuz I thought it was funny...apparently you guys are taking it waaaaaay too personal for my taste so I'm just going to leave this here. Attacking my profession and assuming I'm DANGEROUS is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. You guys made a mountain out of a molehill. Everyone is in consensus that I shouldn't have pointed it out... welllll that's just me and really can't keep things like that bottled up especially if it bothers me. So I posted it and everyone thinks I'm a danger to society lmao. I must have angered all the people who you loose in their daily language...excuse me for making you soooo butt hurt that you are SEETHING...holy shi! Also symantics semantics that was an innocent typo you are just looking for anything to make yourself the grammar queen...which I in no way want to become. Again be a good sport folks and my intention was truly getting people to know the difference. That's alllllll

  13. Yeah (sarcasm). So in my original post, I clearly used the modifiers (preach-y and b***h-y, as adverbs to the verb "come on." I used judgmental as an action. They all answer the question "how" an action is occuring. Action = coming on = verb.
Trust me. If I wanted to call you a name, I would not veil it in innuendo, nor imply, infer, or suggest. I would say straight up, "Girl! You are such a b***h!"
So please do not attach meaning to my clearly written word. I don't "do" semantics. And I was addressing the tone and behavior to which you presented your pet peeve.
    See ya round.

    Mmmm k

Sent from my SM-N910C using BariatricPal mobile app

  14. I actually commented that your behavior="you come on," was "preachy, bitchy, and judgemental." I did not call you a name. I can only go by your empirical data. You now have 59 posts and 39 likes and I don't see how long you've been a member here.

It's pretty much the same you don't have to teach me symantics. You saying my behaviour is bitchy and judgemental implies that I am a b***h and judgemental. And again how ever many posts I have on this forum means NOTHING. You are just looking for an argument. Why do you care how many posts I have or likes wtf?? Is this forum an exclusive group that I have to have a certain amount of likes to be a part of or to contribute?? Go find a hobby please and get off my thread. You are such a troll...which is unlike you. I see your posts and they are usually lighthearted and funny I assumed you would be the same on mine. Apparently not. Please GO AWAY.

  15. Yeah, so ordinarily I am opposed to "pack hunting" in forums, especially support forums. But in your case I made an exception. Your original post made me seethingly mad. I'm sure I'm using that adverb incorrectly and dangling a participle or something dire like that. I'm probably even ending a sentence on a preposition. Dear God! Oh, the humanity! Somebody better draw and quarter me forthwith! Damn, there I go again, ending a sentence on a preposition.
Not only do you come on preachy, bitchy and judgemental, but you do it before any of us have had a chance to get to know you and your sparkling wit and repartee! You've only had 56 posts. Ye gods!
And btw, as it's already been posted, I'm sure you mean "a lot," because ALOT got eaten. Didn't you read the meme?

I thought you had happy feet though and you would go prancing around...apparently that wasn't so. You don't have to agree with me or even like me. And you saying I'm a newbie and you have to get to know me before I can make posts like this is the dumbest thing I ever heard. Thanks for calling me a b***h though that was really nice to read this morning. As I said before I didn't mean to offend anyone honestly oh well. To each their own.. my goodness
