Jade628 got a reaction from southernbellair79 in Suture reaction? Infected incisions... Pics
Omg, go to the ER now. don't play around with an infection that looks like that. I was sleeved on 6/19 and I'm still a bit tender and my glue sutures are almost all off, and a tiny bit raw after the scab fell off, I just put some silver cream on it. but nothing like you. You need to see a Dr. I can't believe your dr will wait so long to actually see you. No Bueno. Find another Dr. and get your self to the ER ASAP. I don't know why you are sitting around waiting... just GO!!!

    Months 1 through 3 = about 800 kcals/day
    Months 4 through 6 = about 1000 to 1200 kcals/day
    Months 7 through 9 = about 1200 to 1500 kcals/day
    By 12 months out = about 1700 kcals/day
    By 18 months out = 1800 to 2200 kcals/day
I purposely increased my caloric intake in a stepwise pattern per the suggestion of a veteran who once posted on this site frequently. While this tactic may have led to slower weight loss, I am thrilled about being able to maintain a body weight of 118 to 120 pounds on 2000+ calories daily.
I suspect the incremental increases in my caloric intake helped preserve my metabolism.

Jade628 got a reaction from ProudGrammy in How quickly can you go back to work? I was told this procedure could have me back to work in 3 days.
No way. 3 days? Wow. Please be careful, you will be exhausted and you haven't recovered yet. I was just sleeved on 6/19/2017. I just went to my first Dr. post op 2 week visit yesterday and got the okay to go back to light work, no heavy lifting (anything over 10 lbs.till 4 weeks) I slept for pretty much two weeks. I'm so tired. ugh. I guess I could have gone back, but my dr asked me what was the rush? He said that this is major surgery and I needed my rest, so I could heal my body and stitches properly. I'm glad I listened.

I soon as I read your post, but I heard "control". I've dealt with controlling parents growing up, even in to my young adult years. Your daughter is an adult and although she may or may not be making the most wise decisions at 20 years old (I've been there), you surely need to love and support her throughout, and not control her; she will indeed resent you and it'll break your relationship even more so. As for surgery, everything what the above two posters said. Please be there for her and support her and love her. Those that have support tend do to better mentally than those who don't. Give your daughter peace please! This is a great tool to have and she can surely get ahead in her life now, than 20 years later with all kinds of problems, especially if she's struggled with her weight early on. Please, support her!!!
