I haven't had my period since December 22,2017. That was my date for my surgery date. I had a appt with the doctor and she said it was normal to go so long til you start your period again. It finally happened this week. [emoji4][emoji22] I just thought I was getting sick because I haven't felt this way in so long. I agree I was hoping that aunt Flo had lost my address but I guess I'm not that lucky. [emoji15]

That’s an awesome result! Were you required by your insurance or surgeon to lose weight before the surgery or were you dieting on your own?

My husband and I both had WLS on the same day. Dec 22nd 2017. We had my sister drive us to the hospital and home again. We didn't have any problems with both of doing it the same day. We both took 2 weeks off. We have been back to work 2 weeks now. I lost 20 lbs and he has lost 18 lbs since the surgery date. In total I have lost 100 lbs and he is at 90 lbs. It has been great having him with me during this time.

I had the same issues with mine. My gastric sleeve was 12/21. I just put the benadryl cream on them every night.

Just be honest with your doctor. I told mine I wanted to my WLS because I was tired of being exhausted, have no energy and hurting all the time. That I want to make a lifestyle change for my health.

I'm now into a size 20 pants! I've worn a 24/26 for God knows how many years, at least the past 5! I'll be a month out on the 11th

I agree we need to Celebrate all the victories we have during our with our lifestyle change. I'm 16 days post op. Lost 75 lbs before surgery prep. Was a 34/36 pants. Yesterday tried on a 26/28.

My tip would be to have a Protein Shake (one scoop) in the morning. I usually mix it with 4 oz of almond milk and 2 oz of frozen fruit. Then for lunch I have a pouch of tuna fish 7 crackers. One snack in the afternoon of 1 oz of veggie chips. dinner is 4 Oz of meat (chicken,fish or pork) 8oz of veggies (like squash,green Beans or broccoli). Then during the day I drink Water about 96 oz. I don't drink any alochol or anything sweet. Just water. During my 6 months of supervision I have lost 60 lbs.

The nutritionist will give you a guide of what to eat so you can stay between 1400 -1800 calories. Make sure to drink plenty of Water (at least 8 8oz of water). Then the weight will start to go away. Just stay focus..it will get better. then you start to see that # on the scale go down.

Just keep busy! When ever I was feeling bad I just went for a walk with my dog. Or if I felt hungry I would drink more Water. Most of the time it wasn't that I was hungry but just bored. You will get to feeling better once you start losing the weight.

It's just the waiting.. that is the hard part in this whole process.but I know it will all seems like a tiny bit in the whole process of my lifestyle change. I don't consider this a diet but a new way of living my life.

Apple 20 the six months will go by really quick..at least they have for me..I have lost 60lbs. They wanted 50 but I'm ahead of that amount. [emoji4]

I have my psych appt for 4 weeks from now...I agree not sure what to expect..but I have read on here from other people's experience what type of questions they will be asking. My question is how long does it take for the insurance company to approve the surgery .??

Oops I'm in the last month of the supervised visit. I have my psychological evaluation scheduled for next month. I had the sleep study done just waiting to go back and do the follow up. I have to wait until after the evaluation gets sent to the doctor before it can be sent to the insurance. Everyone keeps saying the same thing to me as well. That it will get approved and we can schedule it for November.

Hi pkusmc and booandfrida! I'm so excited that other people have had great results from Dr. Dietrick. I'm still in the 6 months of weigh in with the dietitian. I'm so excited to have my surgery. It hadn't been scheduled yet. I'm hoping for October.
