Thanks for reaching out- that's the first step. We're all in the same boat. It's a great site for support and to be able to talk to people who have been right where you are. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 181 GW 135

    How much is too much?

I'm heading to my nutritionist tomorrow - I'm 13 weeks out I think- I'm looking for the same info from her and will post what I get- I'm looking at protein, carbs, and anything else she can give me. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 181 GW 135
  5. I'm feeling similarly. I ate a candy bar for the first time today- sleeved june 22. I have my nutritionist 3 month follow up tomorrow. I'm going to get some new strategies from her and protein ideas because I'm out of them! Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 181 GW 135

    June 2017 Sleevers

Need to hit reset! Because of all of the stress lately I'm falling back into bad habits. Today I will: Drink plenty of water! 48oz+ Eat plenty of protein! 60 g + Avoid carbs! I'm still losing but I'm not being as deliberate as I should. I haven't been planning meals and have been grazing. I am so afraid I'll fall back into bad patterns and won't attain my goal. Vomiting with medications

This happened only the first time I took my meds in the hospital. It was capsules. So awful! I take my meds now with a small sip of water and wait a little bit of time in between and I'm fine. How far out are you? It could just be that you're still healing. Mention it to your nurse or doctor. But, if you are still newly sleeved it may go away with healing. What's In Your Lunch Box

This week I packed a lunch box with a variety of items for the week- string cheese, cheddar jack , plum, hard boiled eggs, grapes $ protein bars & a protein shake I leave it in the fridge at work and eat from it each day. Yesterday my boss gave me a peach so I ate that, grapes and a cheese stick for lunch. It's not super planned or measured but it's been working for me. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135
  14. My goal is 64 ounces per day per my dr - I never make it! I'm lucky if I get 42 oz Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

    Calorie counting

I do feel like I think about food all the time. I track everything on spark people. at first I browsed recipes and watched cooking shows. Now it's settling into. A routine. This path is all consuming. We've had to change everything that relates to food and I'm hoping as I get further along I won't think about food aonmuch. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

    I've tried everything.

Sit on your butt for a couple of days to give your body a rest. Eat a little more than normal - like 100 calories more per day then get back on your workout schedule. I read the book by the extreme weight loss guy, can't remember his name- he said sometimes you need to take a break from the rigor. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

    Chicken too early dangerous?

We had a special dinner planned so I asked him and he said go ahead just chew really well. I got a filet and it was so tender and didn't bother me a bit. At 3 months I can eat anything I want to try and hardly anything bothers me. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

    Saggy skin

I was 223 at the start. 5'2.5" I'm 3 months out and have lost 41 pounds so far. I had an apron when I started from 4 c sections and being so overweight. I hate my belly. I'm in a size 10 now but I feel fat when I look at my belly. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

    Chicken too early dangerous?

By 4 weeks my surgeon let me have steak so I think you are fine. By the second week I could have tuna. Every plan is different but chewing is the key I think. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

    Going crazy and need advice

Im also 3 months out. I hit a stall a few weeks ago but started losing steadily again. I'm going to be pretty blunt- are you having regular bowl movements? Seemed like I wasn't and the. I got more regular and now I'm dropping 2-4 pounds a week again. I also consume 700-850 cal per day but I have been eating some not so good carbs lately in small amounts. I read on this site that if you stop losing add another 100 calories and it should kick start you. It worked for me. A few crackers with peanut butter or something like that. Might help. Keep us posted. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

What is the med? I tried something made of bear bile orso or something like that and it made me so sick- mine was after I had my gall bladder out because I kept getting stones in my liver that would get stuck in my bile ducts. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

Thank you so much! I agree with you whole heartedly! I just get so frustrated with my self sabotage! I tend to be super positive but when I feel so bombarded with everything I can just lose it! Tonight was a good one though- my other daughter needed to go to a mall in in Denver so I took her and her friends and rather than shop in the mall I went over to Marshalls for a bit--- I tried on some size 14 pants- they all fit. I thought- I'll try on some 12's for the heck of it- they all fit too! I was going to buy 2 pair but I thought, maybe I should check out the 10's- OMG! They fit! I haven't been a 10 since I was 29 years old!!! Over 20 years ago! I keep thinking- it has to just be that they run big! Can't believe that I really fit into a 10! So- I'm feeling a little better- still worried for my baby. But I know I haven't blown my diet all to pieces. Thanks for the encouragement ! Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135

    June 2017 Sleevers

Having a bad week - lots of stress. Things beyond my control. My daughter is suffering from depression and anxiety and it came to a head yesterday. Realizing how much I have used food as a way to deal with stress. Yesterday was the worst- I didn't do too bad in calories but did eat half a piece of Costco pizza otherwise not bad at all once I looked back on it , but the pizza made me feel gross and today I'm up about a half a pound - and have an awful headache--probably sodium and or blood pressure. I should have worked out the stress in the gym. I just never seem to have time or I never make the time is probably more true. Just needed to vent a min on here. Please say a prayer if you could. I'm 12 weeks out and down 38 lbs so that is a positive. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135
  25. At 12 weeks I've lost 38 pounds since the preop diet. That's an average of just over 3 lbs per week. I had a few weeks with no scale movement and then at 8 weeks it picked up again with a nearly 4 lb weight loss one week. This week no loss again, but that's because of my food choices one day. Definitely is a slow journey , but I try to keep it in perspective. Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 184 GW 135
