I had bypass at mayo Clinic. They won't even do the sleeve unless medically necessary- it's just not as successful and the GERD issue is a big one. Hang in there and best of luck!

Lettuce wrapped, cucumber, etc...all great! But what low carb bread and tortilla products do you like?

I am 5 weeks out and those small, thin sandwich rounds and pita bread have been great.

I like Unjury. For some reason, I don't tolerate Protein Shakes and powders well. But I can handle their unflavored one just fine. Good luck!

Could be the anesthesia or pain meds. Ask your doc.

Wow thanks everyone! I guess I was more asking about the ability to tolerate bread products but I wasn't very clear sorry. But I appreciate all the advice!

I had surgery 6/19 and been on puréed for almost a week. Doc told me complete another week for weeks total. He said because I am tolerating foods so well I can move on. But I haven't increased my portion size. Every doc is different. Follow the guidelines but trust your gut too. Best of luck!

Yes get the gas x strips! I had the same issue. It was awful. Mine was last monday the 19th. It stopped when I transitioned from Gatorade to pureed food.
