  1. I understood the point you were making. Sadly, it come off as Jerkish! Lolol I completely understand. food is an addiction just like all others. When someone is changing their life they are encouraged to stay away from their addiction. Drugs, alcohol, Unhealthy food. So yes I understand needing to stay away from someone with bad habits that can sabotage your "Recovery." Just remember this is not Drugs or alcohol, this is food. If you keep finding women who are living an unhealthy lifestyle, then the problem is not them, it's you. You are still subconsciously seeking these women out. You still have "Obesity Brain." Get yourself involved in activities and social groups, that the focus is healthy living. Once there you will have to deal with your addiction and your insecurities about "Relapse." (For lack of better term.) I applaud you for getting healthy and recognizing the things to avoid. But now it is time to live. And that includes meeting real people, with real lives, real issues and don't have time to isolate from their family functions, events, etc because you are projecting your fears. You are not ready for them. Good luck on your journey!

  2. I had my bypass surgery 04/25/2019. It was one of the happiest and best decisions made. My depression comes from the weight loss I started at 308. and now 285. I walk everyday I work out and eat what it says in my booklet. My weight is not moving, is this normal?
Yes. Most people loose 2 -4 lbs a week. You are om target. Not a race! You got this!!!

  3. I just had the gastric sleeve done at NYU Langone on Friday. Had it done by Dr. Schwack and so far so good, having all of the normal reactions, sore, stomach hurts a bit when drinking but no vomiting. Good luck.

Hey! I go in Friday with Dr. Schwack! Can you tell me the process? You checked in, went to pre op, wiped down and walked to surgery? (Thats what I did last surgery.) How long were you in the hospital? Were you in the new building? Can you tell I an anxious, excited....?

  4. This seems like a fad. Like going and getting a wrap to make you lose five pounds. I know what they are and what they do- but we just all paid 14000( or I did ) to make a real change and get a tool that is majorly effective. One of my fav things about this surgery to me is that I am not Falling for and spending money on things that more than likely won't be a lasting answer

I agree for some waist training is a fad. Corseting and Faja's have been around and in use for years. Only recent stars have made it a popular fad here in the US. But even if you lose weight, unless it is in your genes, you will not have an hourglass figure. Nothing wrong with someone wanting to grab that sexy look. [emoji4]

  5. Yes! Her coordinator was wonderful. It just so happens that this Cigna plan is a little different than standard Cigna in terms of obtaining information as they don’t even offer email/online support other than calling into their “concierge line” for his employer but I emailed Nilsa on Monday and am waiting to hear back from her. Hopefully she has better luck than I do.

I have a few items to complete in December like the TSH lab test and the psych evaluation so I’ll probably schedule them on the same day as my December follow up. I want to complete them now! Lol

Do you have a scheduled surgery date or an idea when it may take place?

No surgery date yet. She will be back from Maternity Leave then. I will keep you posted.

  6. Just want to say waist training and Corseting are two different things. You can absolutely be 100% healthy and not lose muscle tone while training or Corseting. With that said, if you are waist training it is latex like a compression garmet. Talk to your Dr. Sometimes they are recommend after some surgery's. But only your Dr can tell you whats right. Corseting, since it is more rigid, I would definitely wait before putting one back on and wait till I am completely healed. Also, Real Corsets are expensive, wait till you are at your goal to start purchasing them they are a real investment and spending that kind of money for something you can only fit for a month is a waist.

  7. I have Dr. Bedrosian as well. My sis is a Nurse in NYU and recommended her. She will have you obtain clearance from all of your other Dr's related to your comorbidites. For me I had to clear Rheumetology, Hematology, Pulminology before she will even consider surgery. She is extremely thorough. And She is VERY NICE!!! One hiccup she is currently expecting. She will be leaving for Maternity Leave either end of Oct or beginning of Nov. So, I can't get into Surgery until Jan. You may be offered the opportunity for another surgeon. But truthfully if you have comorbidities like myself its gonna take that long to clear them all. Lol On your first visit she will ask you a lot of health questions. Ans make surgical recommendations based on that. I really did quite answer your question, but at least you are not alone there!!!

  8. I totally agree with everyone else. You need a new PCP. His Bed side is HORRENDOUS! At this moment you have 2 choices: 1) Ride this episode out and get all of your information from the Hematologist. Or 2) Since he has stalled your surgery, shop for a new PCP so that you can begin this process again with piece of mind now. I am sorry you are going through this. I know what it is like to wait patiently for a DR with horrible Bedside to get the information to me. When I made a decision to let them go, I was much happier for it.

  10. I just want to say you need to see a Dr. ASAP. you knew something wasn't right as you sutured yourself. What else did they miss? This is a very dangerous situation. Major surgery always has risks. I had a c section that weeped for a couple of days and I went back to my Dr. She has to clean, pack and visiting nurse daily. This is actually my first post and I am actually very concerned. Please see a Dr.
