  1. I know right! I get more and more excited ever day. 1 week 3 days...yay!
  2. I am super excited as well! I am glad to have 2 Surg buddies to share the date with and to be connected to through this process.[emoji4] Sent from my SM-G935P using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. I am taking 3 weeks off. I don't know if I will need it but if I need to scale back I will. Sent from my SM-G935P using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. That's motivation and inspiration that it can be done. Sent from my SM-G935P using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Oh yes, I believe this is the place most people feel comfortable sharing. I love reading everyone's progress and their day to day post op. It encourages me with my week and four days to go. I am pushing through but I am grateful that my doctor gave me a 1200 calorie die to follow and not liquid. This allows me to space my food out so I do not become "hangry." Oh my gosh! oreos have been one of my favorites...lol, I hope I don't see another oreo for a year.
  6. This is great information because I too have a surgery date if July 17. Let stay in contact to help each other through the process.
  7. Welcome, July 17th is the day for me as well.
  8. I too am like you and I totally understand.
  9. Thank you for compiling this list of July sleevers. It is awesome to see and feel that you are not alone in this process. You are such a STAR.
  10. We are glad to have you here with us. This is a journey and we can use all the support we can get. Great encouragement along the way will help use be success. Have no fear (although fear is a normal response to a major surgery or event), you are doing the right thing for you and your family. I know you will have much success on your journey. Good luck!
  11. I am super excited for you! I have to calm myself because I have been getting anxious, although it is in a good way I have to be careful not to work myself up. To combat my anxiousness I am starting to prep for that day i.e. packing my bag for my 2 day stay at the hospital, shopping for my post op liquid diet, chewable vitamins....
  12. Great information, thank you
  13. Have a Happy Birthday and good luck on your surgery. It will all be worth it.
  14. I totally agree with you. Including him on your journey, I believe it will make him more secure with the process. Good luck with your surgery date and all your tests.
  15. Yay! I am glad to see another person with a date close to mine. Please keep me posted on your journey and I will do the same. We will be going through the post op experience at the same time. I am super excited!
  16. Thank you, I am going to need all the help and support I can get. What better way to get that support by great people sharing their experiences and supporting one another. I am excited!
  17. Hello MsAngi, I too am having surgery soon, July 17th to be exact. I am super excited and have met Dr. Fedorka and a few of his staff members. I too am going through Kaiser and have seen 2 appointments set. One for my pre opt with Dr. Fedorka and one for my surgery date. I do not know if there is something else I am supposed to be looking for like a letter in the mail but as far as I know I have been approved. Do you have any information on what to expect?
  18. In from San Bernardino County with a surgery date of July 17, 2017 in Riverside county with Dr. Fedorka. I am excited to see other people from So.Cal. here. Is there another meeting area because I do not see much activity here? I am excited to see all the success stories and even some pitfalls that I can learn from.
  19. Hello Ladies, I am in Southern California (Palm Springs area) and my surgery date is July 17th. I am so excited. This has been a long journey but I am glad to be final close to my date. I would have opted for an earlier date since my last options class was Oct. 7, 2016 but there were several holidays in between so I opted to wait for the summer when school is out. I look forward to being encouraged by reading your journey's and learning things from you veteran sleevers.
  20. Thank you! This is great information.
  21. My surgery date is set for July 17th and my husband is like your husband when it comes to my weight loss journey. You are right the key is communication and I think as the weight comes off if I include him in my journey we will be just fine. For example, if I buy something new to wear and he likes it, I would wear it out with him on a date first before I wear it anywhere else (mind you I am a pretty modest yet classy dresser now). Thanks for sharing, I agree with everything you said here and I am so excited for the encouraging things I will read here along my journey.
  22. Yay! July 17th, I am super excited for this new journey. I know this is a major step but I believe the good will far outweigh the bad. Be encouraged everyone.
