My NUT said I can have wine or a shot but not for at least the first month or two. It should not replace a meal.

Me!! I can't tell if I'm hungry or feeling something diff. So I just eat something. Happens every few hours. Although I can also go hours without eating

They don't have to say they had surgery cause its none of our business; however, I don't think it's right to be charging folks and using their weight loss to do it. I would send a personal message and let them know you know and how you feel. Then just let it be.

I coughed up blood that night after having surgery. They said it was just from the staple line and that it was fine. But def double check to be sure.

I'm 5 weeks post op and had them last night. So good and I could actually stand the taste. I had them with a bit of ranch dressing as that is low in carbs. What week are you?
Monday will be week 4

My doc said to start doing whatever I wanted but it seems everyone thinks I should take it slow. At what week did you all decide to do weights for toning? I'll def start my squats...

And they contain 96% Water, they will also help w/ your water count for the day. The little things [emoji4]
What week can we eat cucumber? I love cucumbers!

Thanks everyone! So no toning on everything other than stomach?

Anyone walking yet? Any other exercises good for toning? My body is starting to feel super soft. I've been walking 1.5 miles 4 days per week.

It's damn near impossible the first few days. Like the person above me says, closer to two weeks. I'm 11 days post op and I'm still struggling with Water although I can get my Protein Shakes in no problem. 64oz is a goal to work up to. Don't force it, you'll only make yourself miserable. Remember all liquids count towards the goal. Warm liquids go down better also...

Hi! I was sleeved July 18 and I'm from CT!

I have been on regular foods since I was 6 days pre-op. I know it was early, and I ended up back on soft foods for another couple of weeks. I have been doing FINE. Until yesterday. I started feeling kind of sick. Very gurgly stomach, not able to eat much. Im not sure if its food or the Water or if it could be my Vitamins, which have been REALLY GROSSING ME OUT!! I see the surgeon Thursday, I hope he lets me switch vitamins.

What do you mean by regular food? Like anything you want? How did it feel the first time eating after 6 days?

I am a week out and I am feeling, as if I am going to die! I had a BPD DS. I have to take sips of Water, which is proving to be difficult!
Are some of you able to eat normally yet? Without having this urge to vomit etc?
I got so sad! This is my first week, and it's already up to such a bad start!
I'm 7 days out and I am having a hard time sipping water also. broth is a bit better and I can do an oz or two if yogurt before it gets painful. All I can muster in a day smh
-
How can you tell when you're full? I'm not even hungry so I surely can't tell when I'm full. I am getting this intense gas type pain after a few sips or spoonful of yogurt...
How much are you able to eat at 7 days?
-
Okay thank you. It hurts to drink

A revision? Ugh! Sorry to hear that but at least they caught it while you were still in the hospital ya know? I can barely drink anything. It's horrible for me right now. I'm having so many mixed emotions but I know in a week or two I'll feel so much better. You hang in there too! When did you get sleeved?

The first 24 hours was the worst I ever felt in my life!! The gas felt like a constant heart attack and they couldn't sustain the nausea. I was throwing up blood etc. after I fought through it I started to feel better. Not to mention I still had to walk. Sore, weak and tired now but on pain meds. So I feel good once I have that. Just got home a few hours ago.

My arrival time was 6:30 a.m. and surgery time was 8:30 a.m.
I checked in, proceeded to the surgical suites, changed into a hospital gown and bonnet, had my vital signs taken, urine tested, and an IV line started.
The pre-op nurse completed her admission assessment on me. Then the CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist) collected a quick history on me by asking me questions. Then the operating room nurse explained what would happen to me.
Finally, the bariatric surgeon told me the surgery would take 30 minutes at the most and obtained an informed consent from me to proceed with the procedure.
I was wheeled back to the operating room, given the IV cocktail of benzodiazepines, and fell asleep perhaps 10 minutes later. I awakened in the recovery area because the surgery already happened.
How did you feel when you woke up?
