  1. you may want to give your surgeon a call to see if there is anything you can eat. sometimes they will allow some carrots or celery. I know it's not much, but it's something to chew and may help you feel a little better.

    also, try to avoid your 'snacking habits' (i.e watching tv, sitting on the computer, etc) I did a lot of reading and using my kids coloring books, anything to distract myself from my hunger.

    I agree that this is the worst part of the process and you've already made it half way! you can do it!


  2. If I can do it, anyone can do it! The first week is the hardest part, it gets a little easier after that. Jello was good to get that chewing effect and s/f ice pops worked too. I did get tired of the artificial sugar taste all the time (I couldn't have broth either) so I would put a little dab of salt on my tongue just to get a break from that sweet taste. Drinking Water and Crystal Light helped too. As tempted as I was to cheat, I just kept telling myself that I would hate to do anything to jeopardize my progress and have to start all over! Hang in there!
