  3. I work in Human Resources and no there is no need to let HR know the details, just the basics.. You need time off to have a procedure done.. they don't need to know details. It is really your decision to disclose that information, but just know you don't have to, and they shouldn't ask.
  4. I'm scheduled on the 22nd to take it. I was wondering what would it ask and how long does it take?

    First consultation

Do your research before your consultation so that you will have all your questions ready when you go. I still in the process, I have a surgeon, going to my third consultation with the nutritionist tomorrow. After that, I will only have one more to go. My surgeon suggested the sleeve too, it seems like a long process because of all the requirements I have to do for the insurance company. I will be done with everything in July, then it would be a waiting game on the insurance company approving me. Wish you the best of luck!

    Super New

Hey Erica! I'm a newbie as well, I'm getting through my mandated appointments now. My insurance is CIGNA, i will have 3rd nutritionist visit next Wednesday and then I will have only one more left in July. I'm nervous about the surgery and hoping the insurance will approve me so I can get my new life started of not worrying about if I can fit in the booth of restaurants or sit in movie theater chairs. I have been over weight all my life. I have gone to the extreme of not eating so I can get small.. of course that was the WRONG way to go, it wasn't healthy, tried every weight loss program, los some then it comes back. Hopefully I can get my surgery done before Christmas. I wish you the best of luck!

    Pre-op workout?

I'm currently going through the process and the nutritionist did recommend that I increase my activity level and introduce strength training before surgery. As of now I'm trying to work out 5 days a week and do weights twice a week

    Any August 2017 Sleevers?

My last nutritionist appointment will be in July. I'm hoping that the approval process with my insurance isn't that long, so I can get it done in August

    Time to do this

Hello, this is my first time on this forum, just looking for support because I'm nervous and excited. I am going through the process of getting approval for surgery. My insurance requires a 4 month diet through a nutritionist, medical clearance/letter of recommendation from my PCP and a psychological evaluation. I will have my 3rd visit with the nutrionist next week, followed by the psychological evaluation on the 22nd. So I only will have one more nutrionist visit to do next month . It seems like its coming along quick considering I started this process in April. My question is how long would the approval process take from the insurance company or does it depend on the company?
