  1. I feel it is very important to get a good feeling about your surgeon, I am self pay , not that it makes a difference I would have done the same had I not have been. The first one I saw , rubbed me the wrong way, I did not know why, but his information did seem abit blase' and he was not clear on facts. I just did not feel good about him, he even booked my date in that fast, and I signed to have the surgery. BUT I did not feel right. So I booked in with another surgeon for a consultation and I felt super positive as soon as I met him I knew it was the right fit. Turned out the surgeon I changed my mind on, a patient died not long ago and the inquest said he was blase' about important facts and risks of the surgery. Shockingly I found the same after all this time, My surgeon gave all the information.
  2. Staying at relatives for the weekend. They ordered Chinese food. I peeled two battered squid, and ate the squid inside ( they are tiny) , and said thank you! I am done! There eyes popped out of there head, as I always used to Finnish everything lol. I left the room , I could of fitted in more but I did not want to, it was less than 4 ounces, but I did not need that food. I suddenly thought I was in a dream world. All the stuff I could have a bite of.. But no , I am okay .. Did I have a sleeve or a brain transplant? Anyone else have these moments? Thank you sleevey!!!
  3. I am 26, but I would not consider myself young lol so that is interesting. Goodluck I hear lighter people do not lose as fast ( some do) but this is what I have been told, I am maybe 10+ weeks out and honestly i feel every slow move ha but i am so happy with my choice i can wait to see were i am in a year, goodluck
  4. I dont feel I buy very much, I buy for me and my toddlers, yet I am constantly throwing food away as it goes off, I am buying less and less, and even the food I have meal prepped goes off lol. What things do you buy that have a longer life? Maybe you cook from frozen? I don't realise how long it will take me to eat some thing , I feel like living of eggs pepperami sticks and string cheese and my salmon in the freezer and my frozen veg instead of other things with short shelf life. Any ideas? Anyone have these issues? I meal preped alot of 2 ounce egg salad and then i dont feel like eating egg salad, then it goes of lol . and alot of my fresh veg goes off too etc. What food do you eat that has alonger shelf life?

  6. im allowed it on my plan. i tried half a slice , yummy my stall ended the next day lol co-incidence.

  12. Youa are doing awsome Great attitude.
  13. Thank you Julia, its fustrating they have not contacted me back i paid private and i was told i get 2 years contact if i have any concerns etc etc. and no reply. you only eat veggies nothing else? whats your daily eating like? and glad to hear im not the only one with this fear, i am not happy and worried i will be at the same point i am now in a month lol thanks so much
  14. I had surgery 4th july, I see my team for the second time October 12th. I have not lost much since my 6 week check up ... 6LBS!!! and i am 10 weeks out. I cant turn up and disapoint them as they thought I was doing so well, I have done everything right. But I cant bare the thought of turning up and they are looking at me with disapointment. So it seems the only thing i can do is go back to protein shakes for the month and i will be sure to have dropped something by then? Am I crazy or is this okay? i have emailed the TWO NUTS on my team and NEITHER HAVE EMAILED ME BACK its been like 12 days , to tell them im in a stall. luckily i have lost 3lbs since my stall. I just feel like a failure. and feel like i need to do something drastic. Is this my crazy brain? i dont know?
  15. I also want to say all cases are different. He may feel that is what you need but not others etc
  16. My surgeon doesn't operate on super large people because of the added risk during surgery. You could always find another surgeon that will.. But I wouldn't id want to reduce the risk also. You may get to 5 years and be happy with your weight
  17. That can be the outcome for any surgery if you or anyone else doesn't stick to the plan. Its not the surgery that becomes unsuccessful it's the person that has it. So all those people you know who gained the weight back. It was not due to the weight loss tool. So I wouldn't let anyone else's 'failure' be a bearing on your choice. Whatever you decide believe that both options you will rock it and succeed because you have every intention in following your plan so you have no need to worry in that being the outcome. Good luck.
  18. 135 24.6 on normal bmi. First goal 196 under 200 I just want to make it lol
  19. I don't mean to be obvious. But if your struggling to reach your protein goal don't you think you should forget salad for now till your reaching your goals? What are you having? 2 protein shakes and your at 60g so what are you struggling with?
  20. Oh wait. I saw on another post you used to drink lots of diet coke lol. the calories add up. So I don't think your an exception to the rule. But it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
  21. I see no hostility on this post. I think your being dramatic. Its more likely that Someone who is morbidly obese with no contributing factors or on meds is likely to be eating more than 2000 cals long term. No one said everyone is though.. So no need to get carried away. There is always an exception to the rule... I'm sure your the exception and never ate too much bad food. Congrats.
  22. Lol think you were replying to me I didnt even read your reply as i did not know you were talking to me but lol I was not buying into anything lol so you can relax. He already said that he was not saying he was eating 2000 cals to get to 300, so what are you saying lol. I did not say they would not be 300lbs i said I DONT KNOW ANYONE who is 300 lbs eating that amount lol you confused? My point was if someone is managing eating a normal amount then they would not need the sleeve to help with portion control, he has explained what he meant. I stick by what I said though, as I see many people before they want to take responsibility lol including myself in the past who would claim they are eating air and still obese but yet are getting the sleeve, I remember someone who said they only eat 400cals a day and are gaining ( no contributing health or med factors) so people did ask what the sleeve will do if they are honestly only eating that, they eventually admited they were eating more .
  23. Ahh I understand now Thanks for explaining. I mis understood, I do know people who say they are eating 1000 calories and are Morbidly Obese, and they say they have no contributing factors like health or medication, so I find things like that intresting, i have no idea about the science behind it , I am fat because I ate too much. I can blame a small dot on genetics. But mainly I like food , so dont know the science
  24. I (personally) Do not know someone who eats 2000 calories and is 300lbs. Perhaps their may be other contributing factors, but I do find it intresting , I am sure there is a few out there perhaps, but maybe they have contributing issues? Medication? Health issues etc. I can see it may be possible with other factors.
