    Stall

1 - 1200cal/day is a bit much for a female looking to still lose after the first 85lbs. i'd get that closer to 800 until you reach your goal weight. 2 - there's literally an entire forum on this site dedicated to your question. that has been asked many, many, many many many, many many times... found here: https://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/1102-dont-sweat-the-stall-stuff/
  5. if this helps.... my surgeon explained it to me that the weight lost will be like filling up a glass of water in the sink without spilling. you know how at first, you can turn the faucet on full-bore? then as the water nears the top of the glass, you slow the faucet down so it doesn't spill over? same thing here. you have lost 148lbs (AMAZING, btw, congrats!) and are only about 15lbs away from your goal. that's very very close. if you were 18mos or two years out, i'd probably call it. but at 9 months? no, i would bet money that you reach 180. but it really might take another 6 months. that doesn't mean you are doing anything wrong though. i would, however, see if cutting out the fruit makes a difference. while not as bad as straight sugar, it can still spike blood sugar and insulin and might be hampering your efforts to lose those last few pounds. i'd replace the crackers with nuts and the fruit with vegetables and see what happens. regardless, you've done great.

    Gbp reversal

really sorry to hear. if your bariatric surgeon isn't moving heaven and earth to get you well as fast as possible (and it doesn't sound like he is), you need to find another surgeon who will help you. they are out there. use this forum to find a good recommendation.

    Trying on smaller sizes

oh my god, you're RIGHT!!!!!! i never thought of that! id been overweight since i was 8 years old. silly me thought it was genetics as many in my family were overweight. and despite several successful bouts at weight loss, it always came back. then thyroid broke and the scale REALLY zoomed up. but genetics, set point, thyroid..... all of that was just excuses! it was the stretchy clothes the whole time!!! the stretchy clothes!!!!! why didn't someone as wise as you clue me into this a long time ago. instead of surgery, i could have bought a pair of tight jeans and watched the pounds melt off.

    Gastric Sleeve to gastric bypass

exactly my point! i didn't question that you lost weight. the problem is the number of patients who develop terrible GERD because of this surgery. you included. fact is you have had to battle GERD and now have to have another surgery. had you gotten the RNY in the first place, you'd be perfectly fine right now and not needing another operation. this board is filled with sleeve patients battling GERD and/or being revised to RNY. and for what? for 10-15% LESS excess weight loss? for not as good diabetes resolution? no, it's a sales technique to capture the part of the market who inexplicably have something against "rearranging my intestines". i think patients who think like this need to grow up and i think bariatric doctors should employ higher ethical standards and stop pushing this defective sleeve surgery.

    Gastric Sleeve to gastric bypass

when are they going to stop doing this clearly subpar sleeve surgery. it's becoming unethical at this point.

    My story...14 years

your story is even more encouraging than hearing from those who lost weight and kept it off. you show that it's possible to have a bad regain spell but turn that around and lose it again. making the surgery truly a tool that is as effective as you make it and not a "one time shot". i did yoga a long time ago. it really does make you feel fantastic in so many ways. you have inspired me to start up again. congrats and best of luck.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

APPALLED!!! easy life you have lived thus far... i am absolutely helping RSM, by combating the river of bullsh*t coming from Mhy about the procedures. you might think being helpful and encouraging is repeating things like "omg, best of luck sweetie! you'll do great! thoughts are with youuuuu!!!". and lord knows there's enough of that on this website. i, however, think being helpful and encouraging is giving members like RSM the TRUTH, supported by verifiable FACTS about the coming surgery he's about to undertake. two different approaches. that's all. i find your approach useless and annoying. and you find me "appalling". so we're thru here.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

because mini-gastric bypass patients don't need luck on their side like you had.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

at no point in this maddening discussion did i ever claim that NO sleeve patients have success. nor did i ever claim that ALL sleeve patients get GERD. i'm happy for your success.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

a little less in surgical cost waaay more than made up for in increased number of surgeries, as YOU JUST POINTED OUT. dear god please don't make me explain economics to you... if you are under the delusion that the medical industry, including *gasp* DOCTORS aren't in it for $$$, especially in America, then you will have topped yourself for most ignorant argument made today. which is saying something.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

riiiiiight.... because bariatric surgeons NEVER recommend ineffective surgeries (see: lap-band) in order to make a lot of money. no, never. you are so, so wise. and I never said the sleeve was unpopular. when did I say that? it's getting very popular indeed! I'm sure all of obese America wants all the benefits of RNY without having to restrict their eating as much! the fantasy is very appealing!!! and since when does popularity = efficacy? in that same graph, it shows lap-band was as popular as RNY in 2011. are you implying that that means lap-band is as good as RNY? what's amazing to me is not so much how dumb your arguments are, but that you keep coming back again and again no matter how embarrassingly wrong you are proven to be... only to make more dumb arguments. fascinating...

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

right on cue -- i just headed over to the "Your Story" section and this poor woman just posted this a few hours ago. one of many thousands who come to regret getting the sleeve due to dibilitating GERD. but Mhy12784 wants to sit there and harp about osteoporosis as a "major risk" of RNY...
  19. JohnnyCakes

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

right.... that's the whole point! the sleeve constantly needs to be revised because it either causes unbearable GERD, or did not provide enough weight loss. so they are revised to - guess what - RNY. RNY is virtually never revised or reversed because it works so well in the first place and doesn't need to be. i don't understand why this is so hard to understand. best weight loss, best diabetes outcomes, no GERD. and if you aren't an idiot and have the ability to follow basic instructions (take a vitamin every day... oh god, the HORROR), the chances of you experiencing "complications" is extremely low. RSM - the only real alternative to RNY is the mini-gastric bypass. but most dr's still don't provide it - it's still considered "experimental" for some reason. and it has a higher rate of reflux than the RNY. not nearly as high as the sleeve, but higher.
