  1. To be honest I've only had one cup of almond milk. I got it to mix with my protein powder as I haven't been using it because rtd and other powder protein have been making me nauseated. As for the other foods they're rich in protein so I try to each a few times a day. I just got up to eating three times a day, it's been rough because I'm not always hungry and I have a hard time understanding when I'm full as I don't feel anything, instead I just stop. Liquids I'm definitely trying to meet that as well. Even by adding crystal light once in a while but I always have to remind myself to drink because I'm not thirsty. Today I've gotten in 50.7 ounces of water so far. And I'm waiting to have my 3rd meal today
  2. I had left shoulder pain and I felt pain under my left breast as soon as I woke up from surgery. It took about 3-4 days to pass. I walked a lot in the hospital
  3. I'm 5'7 and I picked 145-150 range. I want my booty and thighs to stay (hopefully).

    Eating certain things?

Tried really tender pulled pork, but not too greasy because I heard that can mess up your stomach as well.

    Eating certain things?

Well if it's worth the try, I've had deviled eggs. I'm two weeks post op almost. They go down pretty smoothly. Someone told me not to do a hard scrambled egg because they sit like bricks. I think the red meat thing is pretty common as I hear it takes a while for that. My friend couldn't take it until after a year.

    Eating certain things?

Not to ask a stupid question. Have you tried preparing certain things differently? How do you make your eggs?
  8. What's the best thing to try on my first day? I don't want something too harsh but also tasty! ( I don't eat oatmeal, grits or the such) thanks!

    Bread

Craving a cheeseburger steak and hot wings lol [emoji23] but when I can I'll find a way to make pulled buffalo chicken
  11. How far post op are you? Mhmmm from other post I've seen it's a popular thing during puréed along with the suggestions you ladies gave.
  12. So I ended up trying puréed chili. I tolerated it fine, a few grumbles but nothing crazy. The look kind of killed the enjoyment for me, and so did the texture lol it still beats liquids. I couldn't finish much- I'm not sure if that's out of fear or that I'm full (I can't really tell when I'm full) it was canned chili so the taste was okay, but I'll be making some homemade chili now that I know it goes down okay.
  13. Is eggs a good thing to try?
  14. Yum I do have two cans! I can add a little cheese mhmmm I'm just scared, I don't want my sleeve to become feisty lol I haven't had any incidents yet and I'm trying to avoid them. I hate vomiting so that Kees running through my head.
  15. lol I can't see myself going for the baby food! [emoji23] I want to make ricotta bake but I'm missing ricotta cheese I have to get that. I have cottage cheese though... idk if that's a substitute as I've never used it.
  16. Wait wait! You had to take it yourself? I didn't know they could let people do that. Everyone is so lucky lol I didn't even get a picture
  17. Hey! I'm 8 days post op and I wanted to know if this is normal? I'm still on full liquids and after I have my soups about 15 mins later I have to use the restroom (poop). Is this normal?
  18. I did! They forgot [emoji19] lol
  19. What's your starting weight?

I haven't been since I've been embarrassed, sadly. One of the coasters I went on came over the head, but also over the thigh area. The one on my abdomen closed but they couldn't get the thigh one to snap. I had people looking at me as the person tried to close it. I end up getting up and off the ride, I felt like all eyes were on me. I also felt I embarrassed my family. I kind of don't want to go back until I've lost a significant amount of weight (8 days post op ATM) I can't wait to go though!
  21. Lol trust me, I know! I cried about it twice. It's weird to be crying about it but I guess people who aren't going through this wouldn't understand. It's not just a physical change.
  22. lol I'm 6 days post op and I'm feeling the same way. Try sugar free chocolate pudding [emoji4] I'm on liquids until the 2nd of June. From the recipes I've seen puréed is something to look forward to. Ummm I've had beef tripe soup broth, yummy. Also if you're on full liquids, you should be able to have creamier soups, so I will be trying broccoli cheddar soup. I was under the impression that my appetite wouldn't be there but I have hunger pangs and everything.
