  1. hi i had my surgery on january 13th 09, so far i have lost 64lbs. after surgery.before surgery 40lbs. so that totals 104lbs so far, the begining i was 324lbs. sofar no complications.january is my one year mark.i could not be happier.cuople of months the doctor says i don,t need a fill.sometimes i lose 5lbs a month. so i think that is average.everytime i go to use the bathroom the scale just keep calling me so i have to answer,it seems so additive.


  2. i also had to cook family meal as i do every holiday. but this time i had the band. i was a little worried i was gonna go crazy. but thanks to my band.i hardly ate much. i did have a portion of everything.then i went to my bike an exercise.this time last year i was just starting out.i had lost 40lbs before my surgery an had to maintaine it through out the hoildays last year.i think i did good. looking at all that food. i love my band it rocks.


  3. i was also worried this is my first thanksgiving being banded, i cooked all my dinner, had a small portion of everything,an i am ok.i was worried about restriction.but i still have some.the doctor office said i could come in early for a fill but i decline.i go in monday anyway,i am getting on my bike for tonight. hope everyone is having a nice thanksgiving.


  4. this is also my first thanksgiving banded.just like nfl1 said i ate a little of everything. an boy it is good. just a spoonful.i am 10 months out i feel great but believe me i am on the bike right after my meal.no more for tonight. i have nip that in the bud.i am now getting on my stationary bike an ride like the wind. since october i have lost 100lbs an i feel great.hope everyone is having a wonderful thanksgiving.

  6. sometimes it takes more than one or two fills to get restriction. it took my fourth fill. then i started to drop pounds but mines only happens when i get fill.hang in their. it will happen.you are only out a month. after losing 19 lbs after post-op my doctor told me don,t expectto lose any more weight. until i started getting my fills.
