  1. 3 More days and I will be sleeved, I am nervous and my general thought is everyone is at this point, I am a big baby when it comes to pain and I a positive from everything I have read that the first few days are not pleasant... Everyone has their own journey and I am hopeful that this is the start of mine, I was just as concerned for my pre-op diet but I have been just fine.... Im sure this is not going to be easy but I am sure it is well worth it for the future of of myself and my children then deserve a happy healthy mommy and I deserve a happy health life <3

It's not so bad the first few days. You're a mom, you've been through childbirth, and this isn't even remotely as bad as that! LOL

Good luck and stay strong! It's totally worth the effort and congratulations to you for the effort. From this point on, the hard work begins but in 6 months, you'll look back with happiness and pride at your incredible work! Keep us posted!!

  2. I don't know what is going on, but I am dropping weight like crazy since I broke that last stall.

Is it a coincidence that I was eating mainly plant based on my week long camping trip, (we don't serve meat on any church activities), and decided to go fully whole foods plant based a few days after returning? I am really beginning to believe my body is telling me something here. I guess time will tell. I am starting to look ahead to maintenance as I think it is closer than I thought. I am now thinking that 150 may be to too low for me. when I hit 160 I will re-evaluate my goal. One thing I have noticed about eating this way is that I get fuller faster. It doesn't seem like that would be true, but it is. Maybe it is just because the foods are less calorie dense, but I have to eat more often to get the same amount of calories in as before and I feel fuller faster.

Anyway, so far so good. I feel really good and I am confident that I found the best diet that will be sustainable long term.

Me too! I hit a 4 week stall, kickstarted myself by going full liquid for 2 days and no artificial sweeteners and I have lost 12 pounds in 11 days. It feels great! Congrats!!!

And a size 8? That's my goal size!!!

  3. My surgery date is quickly approaching and I've gone from excited to TERRIFIED.  I'm not even really sure what I'm afraid of exactly.

Wow! Vacation that quickly? Wow! I confess, after my hysterectomy and gall bladder surgery last year, the sleeve was NOTHING comparatively. But I did rest up! I'm 52, and although I wasn't in much pain, it did wear me out, as surgeries do. Ah... to be young again (anything below 50 is young to me!!)

Good luck. I had the sleeve and I was terrified until the day of the surgery. My doctor was great, very calming and things went off without a hitch. I'm 7 weeks post op and feeling great. 40 pounds down. Hang in there. Surgery is always a risk and scary, but 99.5% of them go off without a hitch. It's worth it. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
