    July 6th surgery

I just checked on that website did you get the $162.00 bundle or a different one?
  2. I just got back from the gym and I hit 299! I was 327 last month and 316-317 when I started liquid diet 10 days ago I can't believe that! God am I hungry though lol
  3. I'm having the Roux-en-y surgery. I've been doing my liquid diet for 10 days now and I think this has been the hardest part so far. Just because I know I can still have food without making myself sick but my mind is totally ready for this to happen. I'm excited for it to happen but I wish it were a month post op already haha. I'll get there though. Highest Weight: 366 Start Weight: 355 Current Weight: 301 Goal Weight: 220
  4. Not from Philly but I love the Eagles. I like to think that makes me pretty cool...surgery coming up in 5 days!!!
  5. It seems like most doctors have different criteria that they want you to follow. I would just do what your doctor says honestly and stick to the diet you guys discussed. I fish I had your diet haha I'm on day 9 of my liquid diet now and it suckssss.

    July 6th surgery

I looked online where you can buy the one month supply of Bariatric vitamins and it was like $130 dollars I was like helllllll no lol
  8. I'm on day 8 of 14 right now. I haven't cheated at all yet. The 2 and 3 day were like torture, but on the 4th day something clicked and I didn't fee hungry anymore. I've cut about 10lbs so far this week and feel fine. I was nervous that it would be hell just getting to the surgery and couldn't imagine how it would be once I made it and had to wait even longer to eat anything. So for now I'm in good spirits and just waiting for July 6 to get this party started.

    July 6th surgery

I'm having my surgery the same day as you good luck! I found the flintstones chewable multivitamins, the B12, and the Calcium Citrate at Walmart for pretty cheap. I'm sure others are more informed than me though

  14. Just wondering if anybody ever tried it out, there are several Pho shops around my house and I love it, just wondering if since I can have beef and chicken broth if Pho falls in that category? FYI to those who don't know, Pho is a traditional Vietnamese soup. And it is so good you wouldn't believe it.

    Liquid Diet starts today!

    You're a beast lol
  16. What's up guys just throwing it out there that I'm 2 weeks away from my date finally since working towards it since my August '16 seminar. I know everyone's doctors do it a little different but I'm just trying to get the consensus for what you all think my diet is since my paperwork got ruined a while back and I don't get my new one until tomorrow at my pre op appointment. Obviously I know it's no solid food but I should be drinking protein shakes, broth, sugar free popcicles and jello right? I'm doing good on my diet, I'm steadily losing weight here's an update. Liquid Diet starts today!

I'm in the thick of it BMC blogger. In the middle of day 4 of 14 haha it feels like its never gonna end. In my opinion I'll be super hungry and have a protein shake and for about 30 min I'll be satisfied and then about an hour later I'll be hungry again. It sucks but in my mind I would rather be feeling like crap right now before my surgery rather than having to deal with this on top of my surgery. I feel like I'm laying the foundation for the next month where I'm not going to do anything but a liquid diet so that in 10 days when my surgery comes around I'll be somewhat used to this diet and I'll have a better chance for success post op. That's just the way my mind works. But to answer your question with the short answer, the hurdle is both. It's mental in the fact that you want to EAT something, and also physical because you are hungry for food which is normal but your body just isn't used to getting nutrition in this form. If that makes any sense. I'm not an expert I can only speak on the way I feel lol I hope it helps

    Liquid Diet starts today!

I seen the premier protein clear stuff at Sams Club yesterday I wanted to buy some do you think they would be allowed on my pre op diet? I was about to buy them until I seen the 90 calories per bottle. Lemme know lol they looked bomb

    Liquid Diet starts today!

I need to drink more water I think that's what it is. I'm steadily losing weight every day even though I drink 4-5 shakes a day, I have been doing my hour of cardio and lifting every day which is helping i think. I'm struggling with the liquid diet but still haven't cheated. I got some sugar free jello which never tasted so good lol. Right next to it was some sugar free jello parfait which I wanted to get but I wasn't sure if it was allowed. Same calories, same 0 sugars etc but I wanted to stay cautious and not buy it.

    Liquid Diet starts today!

You know I think I read your post a few days ago where you said the BgR72. In all honesty I thought his diet wouldn't be too bad but it sucks so much I'm going crazy and I'm only on day 3! I'm sitting here jealous that some people don't have to do this diet before surgery and I'm like wishing I was them, then I realize that there are others who are even more restricted than me! Idk if you are looking for advice or not but I thought I would tell you something that I did a few days prior to my liquid diet is I tapered down on eating until I was eating very little so I was used to being hungry before the liquid Diet started. In theory I think it worked in easing my transition but also I'm still hungry enough to eat my foot so idk how well it worked in the long run haha.

    Liquid Diet starts today!

Pre op visit went well. Got all of the information I needed, also got a few samples of protein powder even though I'm pretty much set on the Premier Protein bottles I hope my taste buds stay the same in that sense. Almost done with day 2 of the liquid Diet and holding strong, I'm pretty sure these next few days will be the worst of it. Just wish I could fast forward these next 2 weeks! It's all good though, I'm in high spirits.

    Anyone in the UK?

Hope you find some U.K. friends to help you out. Our surgeries are within a week of eachother, if you want I can butcher a British accent if we talk haha.
  24. What's up everybody, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a surgery date of July 6 and I am looking for others as well. This is actually my second time going through this process, I went through the process like 2.5 years ago and stopped my surgery about a week before it was time to go through with it. I am going to do it this time, I need to. I'm prior service Army Infantry and there is a pretty big stigma about how this will be taking the easy way out from my friends who I served with which is why I'm only telling very few people. Not a lot of people I interact with have any knowledgeable information about what I'm getting ready to do so this is why I keep it to myself. I'm pretty young still, 26... and have been married going on 7 years and my wife is my support system, she sees how hard I try to lose weight and she is 100% behind my decision. I worked as a Sheriff's Deputy in a jail near where I live for almost a year and then I had to step down to deal with some family issues, but I really want to go back. How long after surgery will you all guess that I have to wait before being cleared? The worst case scenario is pushing it too soon and getting in a fight with one of the inmates and me tearing stitches or something along those lines. Sorry for the long post, just wanted to introduce myself and if there's anything else you guys wanna know, you know where to find me. 6ft 4in HW: 366 SW: 355 CW: 322 (need to be below 320 by 6/23 for pre op appointment). GW: 220lbs OR LESS!

    New male user. July surgery.

Reggie White is my Idol. I played O and D line my whole life so I guess that's why. I'm a Military brat but never ended up in PA. Been in CA more than 1/2 my life and I could watch maybe 2 games a year if I was lucky. I'm in VA now so it's a lot easier to be a fan. But thanks again for your reply. Those 2lbs are gone every day after I go to the gym but after I drink water it comes back every time so i just gotta keep doing the cardio I do over an hour every day. It gets so boring but Atleast I can watch Netflix while putting the miles in.
