  1. We had surgery on the same day! I’m down 52 lbs exactly in all (142#HW, 227#SW, 190#CW.) I’m happy with my weight loss but excited to see how much more I can lose. It’s cool that I found you & am excited for you too!! Hugs! Jen

You both rock! I had my surgery 10/04/17 and my HW: 292 in September 2017 my SW: 275 and as of today I am CW: 211 so 64 lbs since surgery and 82 lbs since my two week pre op diet! It's crazy how fast it goes!

  2. I'm excited. Started at 361 on the 17th. Started my liquid diet on the 20th and as of this morning I'm 353. It's only 8 lbs but I've never dropped 8 lbs in one week and I have another week to go. My surgery is 12/4

That's so awesome! Great job! And believe me... I know what you mean. I would try so hard every month only to lose 3 lbs and now I'm 50 lbs down.
Keep me posted after your surgery. I'd love to keep in touch with your progress :)

  3. Hi all! I can't believe this journey so far, and it has just barely started. As of today I am two months and two days out from the day I started my pre op liquid diet. On that day I weighed 292.8 lbs. Two weeks later the morning of surgery on October 4th my weight was at 275.6 this morning I reached 50 lbs give since the start of my liquid diet. And 33 lbs gone in the six weeks and two days since surgery. It feels amazing! IMG_20171127_085628_501.jpg

  4. Update to@BecomingMeAgain:
So as difficult as it was, I stuck to our deal & weighed only once in a week, and praise the Lord, broke the 3 week stall! I saw my Dr. on Wednesday, and he agreed it's best to only weigh once a week. He was pleased with everything (although did say even though my wt. loss is slow - he understood when I explained that I had been at a stall for 3 weeks, since week 3 post op).
So after waiting to weigh for the week, I lost just over 2 lbs. that week. Looking forward to next Tuesday, as it will be 2 months out for me.
How are you doing with making yourself weigh only weekly? I know it's a struggle, but you can do it! We will overcome these struggles & be victorious together! [emoji3] :1311_thumbsup_tone2: :450_trophy:

I'm not sure when you wrote me this as I am just seeing it now however I have done fairly well. Saturday was one month since my surgery and I've lost a total of 20lbs so far. I'm still finding it hard to stay off the scale but I'm managing. Congratulations on getting out off your rut. That's so awesome!

  5. I’m sorry you had a rough start to your journey. I can’t speak from experience yet, but I hope you are feeling better each day.
As far as losing is concerned you can already see a big difference!

Thanks! I am doing much better! I still can't keep much more than Water or Soup down but that's better than nothing! As for the weight I can definitely feel the difference when I put my clothes on. They are all much looser now. I just sometimes feel I should of lost more than 20lbs by now and that makes me feel down sometimes

  6. I can't believe it's already been a month since my surgery! It hasn't been the easiest month that's for sure, to weeks in and I was back in the hospital for a week. I was having a hard time keeping anything, liquids or solids down. I had to have an endoscopy done and it turned out that I have a hernia in my esophagus and erosion in the lining of my stomach. But I am home now and on the mend. Since the morning of surgery I've lost exactly 20lbs and a total of 37lbs since the 2 week post op diet.

Sometimes I stress myself that I'm not kidding as fast as I should. But.... I'm losing and I'm on too a healthier life! IMG_20171104_120138_633.jpg

  7. I understand your concern. I haven't exactly gained, but after 3 weeks I hit a stall from surgery & although people say it happens (& you'll suddenly start losing wt. again) it's worrisome to me too. So, I've been at a stall for 3 weeks. I'll lose a lb. gain a lb. - as difficult as it is, I really think I need to stop weighing daily & weigh once a week. Also, step up my walking distance a little as able. I'm sure you'll be fine sticking to the Dr.'s orders & we'll have to cheer for each other! [emoji4]

Thanks. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this situation exactly. I'm literally obsessed with the scale. I think I'm honestly stepping on it at least 4 to 5 times a day. I'm so scared of gaining anything. I actually had a dream last night that I stretched out my stomach already some how.

  8. Hi all, so I have a question because I'm freaking out a bit. The day off my bypass 13 days ago I went into the hospital weighing 275lbs. After surgery my weight went up 10lbs while still in the hospital which I understand is from the IV fluids and what not. However after coming home, I dropped to 264lbs and in the past three days I have gained 3lbs. I know that's not a drastic gain but I'm still concerned. Has anyone else had weight gain after leaving the hospital during the first couple weeks post op ?
