    December Sleevers??

It does get easier as you get closer. Water really helps curve the urge to eat. I stopped being hungry once I hit ketosis Nd had to remind and force myself to eat the last couple days. I was so grateful for the preop diet it helped preparers for fasting the day if surgery. Mine was around 3 pm. HW 270 CW 231.5 SW 242.8 GW 135 DS Surgery date -12-8-17 I’m 42 and 5’2”
  3. Hope you are feeling some relief. You have an amazing group of people her to support you through this difficult time. It’s natural to have the thoughts you were having about remaining fat because of the complications most of us have felt something similar through the process or we wouldn’t be here. I’m 8 days post op and I keep telling myself that each day will get better and it will all be worth it. And each day has gotten better so far. Sleeved 12/14 - Scary Complications ?

Glad you got answers and through the process you may also have sleep apnea. I’ve had surgery 3 times in the last three months and every time I was in recovery I had the same oxygen problem. I had to consistently take slow deep breaths when it would go off. All I wanted to do was sleep. Using a cpap machine can help out with this and is recommended for even naps after surgery. Hope your doing even better now that more time has past. HW 270 CW 239 SW 242.8 GW 135 DS Surgery date -12-8-17 I’m 42 and 5’2”
  5. My local family doctor is like that. I only take my youngest for her yearly checkups to her. My husband and I drive an hour to see ours PCP he Is totally on board with WLS even in Mexico as he knows how much it has helped patients in the long run.

Help I’m confused Is Dr. Illan the only surgeon?

Had my Duodenal Switch surgery with Dr Alejandro Lopez in Tijuana and was very happy. I was able to talk several of his sleeve patients while I was there and they also had all good to say about their surgery experience. I’m glad that I went with my gut and continued to look for other options than the obvious choices listed in this forum. If you have more questions please reach out to me. Sleeve Buddy need - Surgery date 12/4

I came home with a 5 pound gain 5 days post op. Can’t wait till this swelling goes down and I see the scale moving. I’ve been in ketosis for 3 weeks so I know I’m losing fat.
  9. Once I got Into ketosis I was not hungry at all. That really helped on the day I’d surgery when mine was in the afternoon.

    December Sleevers??

Had mine on the 8th. Still difficult to get up out of bed sitting is ok but walking is slow. Not hungry at all and have to force broth and water. I had the DUODENAL Switch, gallbladder removed and hernia repaired. Most of my discomfort is on my right side. I’m still happy I did the surgery and have to accept that I had more time causing me more pain.

    Post-op pooping

Costco has 2 squatty potties in a package and I picked them up I’m short 5’2” and it doesn’t help me much. I’m not sure if I’m just short or if it’s just my body it doesn’t work for. Lots of friends recommended it so I know it works for them.

Help I’m confused Is Dr. Illan the only surgeon?

I totally understand. I wanted the Duodenal Switch and did not get a response when I asked if he did it. I was able to research and find Dr Alejandro Lopez at ALO or Bariatric Surgeries is his Facebook group. He has experience in all surgeries and has a very responsive staff.

Surgery date 12/4 - Finally freaked

It’s hard to wait so long for something you know is the best thing for you. I’ve been planning and researching heavily since April. I’m almost done saving the money and am over ready to be done. As it’s getting closer I’m starting to panic. I know I’m ready I’m confident in the procedure I want and have picked my Dr ( just waiting for full funds to schedule) and I’m listening to others saying I should only use one Trusted Dr in MX for the DS. I’ve researched and didn’t have a good feeling about that one Dr that I do with mine and actually found some not so good reviews. I can’t find any bad reviews on the one I picked out on any of the multiple sites I’ve asked. But as it’s getting closer I start to second guess and thought about changing Dr’s. I can’t sleep at night because I’m so obsessed with finally getting this done. ~Rant over You will do great just think of this as a life changer and how much better you will feel once it’s over. Being able to get around better and fit (not stuff yourself) in clothes.

My surgery date is pending and I’m hoping it will be December 4th. I’ve been doing the preop diet since October so I’m ready to go as soon as I get the funds to schedule and book my flight to MX. My stats are closer to cc1018. It’s getting close!! HW 270 CW 250 SW ? GW 135 Surgery date - pending. I’m 42 and 5’2”
