Could you stir a pinch of cocoa and some stevia into some yogurt?, the vanilla usually enhances the chocolate, taste. That's the first thing that comes to mind, I think maybe Hershey might make a sugar-free Syrup, I know Smuckers makes a diet version of their caramel ice cream topping, so why wouldn't a big place like Hershey/Reese Cups do the same?

Hershey's does make a sugar-free Syrup and it's only 5 calories per TBSP. I keep it in my house to help get me through those chocolate cravings. Not going to lie...I have gotten a tablespoon and squirted the syrup into that and just eaten it out of the measuring spoon. The chocolate struggle is real.

  2. Weekly check in!

    Challenge Starting Weight: 177.6

    Today's Weight: 174.0

    Down 3.6lbs since challenge start

I woke up this past Saturday with no voice, so after being sick for 5 weeks I finally caved and went to the doctor on Sunday. Bronchitis & Laryngitis....🤦‍♀️. So my workout routine has been put on hold this week while I am recouping. I finished my Zpack yesterday and am feeling quite a bit better. I plan to get back to my routine of waking up an hour early and working out on Monday. I put it out there in the universe for you to see, so now I've got to keep my word! Despite being sick I still managed to keep my eating under control and not eating for comfort. Hopefully I can continue to slowly tick off the lbs!

  3. Hey guys! I have been lurking for a bit and decided to give the IF thing a go. After reading a bit, I will give the 14 hour fast/10 hour eating period a whirl. I am still good to have my morning coffee though, right? I typically just have my coffee w/ 1 cup almond milk and 1T cream, coming in at 80 calories for my daily tumbler of heaven :) Other than that, just going to try to stick strictly to tracking my food, keeping carbs under control and staying around 1000 - 1100 calories a day. I am pretty good with getting my Protein and Water in...but going to aim to get more than 100oz of water a day (right now I'm about 60-80oz). I had VSG 7/4/17 and would still like to lose about 25lbs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  4. Weekly check in!

    Challenge Starting Weight: 177.6

    Today's Weight: 174.8

    Down 2.8lbs :D

I had a good Thanksgiving, fell off the wagon a bit and didn't meet my exercise goal for that week (ended up with a horrible chest cold as well). Back on the wagon this week, have worked out 3 mornings in a row this week and will tomorrow morning as well. We did a turkey at my house on Sunday, so still slowly but surely eating turkey...4oz at a time.

    • Fitness/exercise goal: Continue DDPY at least 4x's a week

    Checking in!

Weighed in this morning at 176.2, so down 1.4 from challenge starting weight.
I actually exceeded my goal of DDPY last week and worked out 5 days in a row :) This week I will a bit short and only get 3x's. I ended up getting a terrible chest cold and took off Monday & Tuesday. Will get back on the wagon and workout this evening after work.

Going to my parents house for Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'm excited to visit and spend time with family, but I always seem to do poorly tracking my intake and portions when I am there (holidays or not)...so I'm going to try to practice more self control and be more diligent in journaling my intake.

    Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

  6. I was sleeved 7/4/17, so I am a little over a year out. I was sleeved in Mx, so I haven't seen my bariatric team since my surgery (as far as post op checkups, etc.) . My weight loss has slowed down quite a bit and I have been between 173-178 for the past few months (30 years old, 5'8 and trying my best to exercise 3-5 times a week). I was hoping that some people who were about a year out could tell me how they are doing and what their approx. macros are. I have been trying to follow bariatric Keto for a few months...but it really doesn't seem to be a good fit for me. I had the ketone strips and joined a special "bariatric keto" group on Facebook and they provided me with macros, but according to the strips I never got into ketosis :( Any advice or support would be greatly appreciated. I know I have come so far and made great progress, but I would like to continue this journey and get to a "normal" BMI before adding on to our family.

    Currently, I'm eating anywhere between 1,000 - 1,200 calories a day.

    Protein : 60-80 g

Carbs: 0-50g (total, not net) Most days typically under 25g

    Fat: 25-65g

    Water: 80-100oz

I was told to try to stay under 1000 calories. Im usually between 700-1000. I feel like I'm losing slow though. Surgery was May 31. I've lost like 37# and went down 1 size. Im not complaining, I'm grateful for what I've lost but of course seeing others success can make me feel like I should be doing better.

Please don't feel alone! I am in the same boat as you. Surgery was July 4th and I'm down 38#'s as of today. I know that there is no way I could have lost this much w/o the sleeve...but when I read other peoples posts on here it bums me out a bit.

Have you been checked for diabetes? It affects sex drive in both men & women

Yep, they checked that too. My levels were actually really good. It's just frustrating to go to the doctor and talk about these things and then have them tell you "Nope, you're as healthy as a horse" when realistically you feel like crap.

  10. I was sleeved 07/04/2017 and I'm down 30lbs as of today (whoop whoop)!

A little background, I have a son that just turned two. Before I got pregnant my sex drive was through the roof. I had lost 150 pounds with weight watchers and had been maintaining for about 2 years at that point. Despite working out while pregnant and being mindful of what I ate, I managed to gain about 80lbs with my pregnancy. When I was about 6 months or so, my libido just DROPPED. I had zero desire to be intimate or even kiss my husband. Fast forward two years later.....and I still am struggling. I've went to the doctors multiple times and they tested my hormone levels, thyroid, you name it and everything came back fine. Not that I was hoping for bad results, but them telling me I was good to go didn't make me feel any better about the situation. I'm not sure if it is more of a mental thing that I'm struggling with and is causing me to feel this way. I met my husband when I was thin and despite him being very affectionate and understanding of what I'm going through, I just feel unattractive and would honestly rather run a marathon in Death Valley wearing a snow suit than have sex.

Has anyone else ever went through this?
