  1. Those people are assholes... what the heck?! I don’t know about lipo, but I’m sorry you’re feeling this way. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  2. I was weighed at a little less than two weeks post op, and had lost 14 pounds... then last weekend, five days after I’d lost those 14 pounds I got on a scale, even though I told myself I wouldn’t. Actually, TWO scales. One said I’d gained a pound and a half and the other said I’d lost .5 it has really messed with my head.... I’m hoping it’s just the stall people are talking about here, but I’m with you, it’s freaky. How is it possible to eat virtually nothing compared to life before, and not lose weight?! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  3. Hi All! I am about 3 weeks post op after having a sleeve. My mother in law has also gone through the process to be approved for WLS but has terrible acid reflux, so she can’t have a VSG, she also has a hiatal hernia, and a lot of fear after hearing a statistic that 1/200 die from RNY. This is the main thing holding her back. So, my question for you all who have had the surgery, What would you tell her? I think she truly wants to have WLS but now she scared and 1/200 is a pretty high statistic. Have you heard that? Is that true? It’s seems high to me. Thank you so much for taking time to give me your insight! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  4. I felt the same pain for a while. A stomach binder really helped me! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

  6. I just looked it up with HIGH hopes because I am struggling with protein. It looks like there are only a few grams of protein in 4 capsules. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  7. I have been careful not to weigh myself unless at the doctors office. This weekend I was at my in laws and stepped on their scales out of curiosity, and at first one of the two scales said I had gained 1.7 pounds and the second said I had lost .5 a pound. I thought, this has to be wrong! But now it’s eating at me. How could I not lose weight on week two, eating liquids and purees?! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  8. The pain got worse for me once I was home from the hospital...experiencing pain is normal. For me, the worst paint was at the incision sites and using my stomach muscles. I’m two weeks out, today and I can tell you it gets better! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  9. Yea! Starting tomorrow I can have puréed foods. Can’t wait! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  10. Yes, at this point I’m having blended soups but it’s still boring! I guess I just wish I could chew on something HW 289 SW 262 CW ? (5/14= 248lbs) VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

  14. Hi Taoz! I will hit 2 weeks post op tomorrow and can’t wait to get to the next food stage! Will you have to blend the fish? Or is it soft enough as is? Great job on your weight loss! I’ve lost 14 pounds since surgery which is just about the same as you! My clothes feel more comfortable but nothing is too big yet, I’m looking forward to that! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  15. Per your doctors instructions? Or you just skipped it? Do you mean chicken? I can’t wait to have regular food but my surgeon said I have to go through every step to the day. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  16. I feel the same way!! I can’t wait to move past liquids. So boring. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  17. I’m SO looking forward to moving to puréed foods this week, was are your favorites? HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  18. I totally get the sadness, I don’t know that I was expecting that. I go for a short walk at sunset every night and it helps to get outside and see something beautiful, and chat with my boyfriend. Also, variety in soups for dinner helps not to get too depressed during this liquids phase. Keep your head up! Let me know if you want to chat more about it, you’re not alone! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  19. If it’s near the incision next to your belly button, it very common. Apparently there is a deep stitch in there and I think the surgeon also pulled the extra stomach out there. I only know these things from posts here, but I intend to ask my surgeon on Monday too. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  20. I’m 8 days out and almost every day I have a mini meltdown moment about something. I’m hungry, what have I done? Or Not super loving thoughts about myself and what got me here....and I say all of this as a really positive person who thinks things are going pretty well, actually. It’s hard. Some people act like its breezy, but it’s not always, but of course I’m only 8 days out. HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  21. Awesome job! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin

  23. Today is day 8, post surgery. I feel better and better every day. My incision glue is starting to peel, and my mobility is much higher. I walk every night at sunset, and walk a little farther each day. My incision near my belly button is the most annoying one, it feels sore sometimes and I feel the tugging people talk about. It’s mostly annoying at bedtime when I’m trying to go to sleep and get comfortable. Sometimes I get really frustrated and sad with this full liquid stage. I’m tired of sweet drinks and soup. ( ideas welcomed!) I haven’t weighed myself yet and don’t plan to, until my first post op appt on Monday. I don’t want it all to be about the numbers and last night I realized how torturous this would feel if I’m not actually loosing weight, which at some point will happen with a stall. So, I’m doing pretty good but it’s been an emotional ride. Looking forward to others updates!! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  24. Let us know what you decided and how you’re doing when you have a chance! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
  25. You got this! I remember the feeling well! I am a week out and I feel so much better now, one week later. It’s a tough journey but I think it’s worth it, even having just been through the tough stuff. Let me know if you want to chat about anything, you can send me a message if you want! You’re not alone in this! HW 289 SW 262 CW ? VSG 5/2/18 [emoji92] Kaiser, Ontario - Dr. Chin
