  1. ....literally the next day after surgery, I was wheeled to radiology trying my best to keep my nausea at bay and not throw up...I somehow swallowed the IV contrast and kept it down (albeit I have no idea how) and found myself holding on by a thread. The radiologist walked in , looked me up and down and said " REALLY? WAS THERE A NEED FOR YOU TO DO THIS?! YOU ARE NOT THAT BIG!!!!!" Me, fresh off my pain pump, told him to go F&CK himself and that I would be sure to let my surgeon know he was questioning his ethics by operating on a person "NOT THAT BIG". BTW...250 lbs on a 5'4 frame...isn't LITTLE! SIGH.

  3. I am six days. Gastric bypass. Today I got in about 30 ounces of Water so far and it's 5 p.m. . I had some Jell-O and I had one popsicle and I had a few ounces of vegetable broth. It seems that everytime I drink anything which I do sip comma is an effort. And my stomach and abdomen hurt a lot today as well. Feeling of it frustrated and I know I did not get in today what I should have. Any suggestions to help me get back on track. Thanks!

  4. The wait is difficult for Sure! Had my required endoscopy and colonoscopy two days ago. I have a hiatal hernia and some gastric inflammation. I hope the hiatal hernia does not keep me from having surgery.

I don't know yet whether I have to do a pre-op diet and he hasn't said anything about losing any weight. My sheet with all of my appointments and surgery date says I have to be 220 or less on surgery day. 220 is the wait I was the first day I went in for an appointment. That puts me at almost a37 BMI. I would like to be 150. It's nice to have people to wait with through the month of June. I have a feeling it is going to go fast

  5. I was diagnosed with stage 3 papillary thyroid cancer April of 2012. Total thyroidectomy of course. In 2013 it spread to my lymph nodes and I had a neck dissection on the right side.

I have done nothing but gained weight since my surgery. It is almost impossible to lose weight for me now. My surgery date is July 3rd and I am so excited I cannot stand it!

Doctor says should be no problem getting to my goal weight. Let's keep in touch and share our progress ! I Am brand new to this group.

  6. Aloha! My surgery is scheduled for July 3rd period it seems like an eternity! This coming Tuesday, the 23rd of May comma I have my endoscopy and colonoscopy. Hopefully they won't find anything bad in there and now I wait.

My doctor has not said anything about a pre-op diet. The nutritionist I met with did not say anything either. Not sure but I think I should probably do it on my own. At least something. My nutritionist good recommend Premier Protein so I think I will buy some of that now. So happy to have found this group!
