  1. No none at all. But then everyone is different. I’ve been lucky..no vomiting either. I think one of the keys is following surgeons orders about eating stages after surgery. I followed it faithfully to the day. I know of others who were eating things quite soon and eventually had problems. I just figured if I couldn’t follow the food stages after surgery then how was I going to do this for the rest of my life? Feel free to ask if u have questions and I’d love to know if u decide to go for it! Diane

  2. I was sleeved last June at 68 and all I can say is GO FOR IT!😀. Surgery was fine...no pain just some mild discomfort. In June I wore 22/24 now I’m buying 12’s and some 10’s. Mentally I’m much younger and now my body is catching up. Feeling so much better about myself! Off all meds. Downside is getting everything thing in each day...water, Protein, etc. This is very definitely an every day rest of ur life commitment for sure. If you’re thinking age is a factor, don’t ... you can do this!!!😀

  3. You’ve just started ur journey...only 10 Days out...settle down and relax...you’ve just had surgery. There’s always consequences afterwards when ur body and brain are adjusting to this trauma. It’s not pleasant or comfortable but it does pass. No, ur not going to eat like u did before and that’s why u went thru this, u did this because u wanted to be healthier and look better which is now going to happen. I’m 8 mos out, started size 24 now 10/12 and feeling good about myself and so will u once u r over this healing stage. Believe me eating a whole sandwich, gulping down a drink is nothing compared to looking in the mirror and being proud of what u see. You don’t want to eat quantity any more but quality foods. The quantity is what got us to this point. One day ur going to b sitting with a group of people eating and watching all the food they’re consuming and realize u once ate like that but r content with ur small portion and smaller body. This is a major mind change but u can do it and once u c that new person in the mirror, hear the compliments, have to buy smaller sizes, and feel good about urself it’ll b worth it. It will all get better! Best of luck on ur journey

  4. Day 2. Totally amazing. Some back pain yest afternoon due to gas but went away in a couple of hours. Really no pain just a 'ache' where the 2 largest incisions are. Up and walking the halls and ready to go home in the morning! Having my gallbladder removed 2 yrs ago was worse than this.

  5. Getting and waiting for approval is so nerve wracking and I feel for you. Each insurance co is different. Mine never had me document that many yrs. My PCP had me try pills so that was on record but then just listed I had tried WW, TOPS, etc. I sincerely wish you the best and hope there's no delay for your July date. Hopefully they will let one year slide. Good luck.

  6. Maybe this is a silly question but I one wk I'll be sleeved. Sitting here with so many thoughts going thru my head. Wondering if I'll miss my 'food friends'. No more sitting down with a

bag of chips or slices of pizza...wings galore etc. I know these have been 'bad' friends and that's one of the reasons I'm where I am now. Thing is I could always count on them ... they were there if I was lonely, sad, stressed ... well you get the idea. I am positive about my decision and looking forward to the changes ahead in my health, appearance, self confidence etc. Can anyone who has already been sleeved had thoughts like this? Or those going to be sleeve? Thanks.

  7. Ok maybe I'm an alarmest or basically not eating making me edgy so hoping some of you can give positive advice. Started diet Monday and lost 4 lbs til Thursday. Fri and today no loss!!. I am getting all liquids in ...water/protein drink and Health Meal etc for dinner. Tracking cals and Protein. I'm allotted 1200 cal per day but doing between 850-950. Maybe this is normal and just knowing that would help or if I'm doing something 'wrong' that I can tweek. If anyone has experienced this it sure would help. Thanks
