Approval
I'm so excited! I've been waiting couple weeks for my insurance approval, then I found out on Wednesday my documents hadn't been submitted. My doctors office was waiting for insurance to give them a fax number. I got the fax number, and two days later...i got my call!!! June 28 is the beginning of My new journey[emoji16][emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930VL using BariatricPal mobile app

Bag of motivation
If I wasn't already excited enough to start my journey, my mom just gave me a bag of motivation. Sorting these adorable "skinny clothes" is so exciting because I know I'll be able to wear them later in my journey. Silly maybe but I'm all [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930VL using BariatricPal mobile app

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
I'm still working on my approval, but I had my moment awhile back when I realized I'm only 32. Lol, I know that sounds crazy but I've been living like I'm 82 last few years between my back and arthritis. I know I need to lose weight to help put off my next spinal fusion. And I know losing weight will help me be able to exercise more and strengthen my core. But, I finally realized there's got to be more than this couch. And that there's a tool (gastric sleeve) available that can help me get to where I want to be[emoji3] Sent from my SM-G930VL using BariatricPal mobile app

Portion/Bariatric Plates
I am just curious. I have saw that these portion/bariatric plates are encouraged by some. Has anyone used these plates after gastric sleeve? Were they helpful or a waste? Any suggestions on a certain set? Sent from my SM-G930VL using BariatricPal mobile app

Any preparation tips while I wait for approval?
I've met with the surgeon I'm going to use. I have completed my 6 month diet. I will have my psychiatric evaluation on Friday. I have the cardiac tests, upper gi, and nutrition/ fitness/well-being classes on June 07 after my husband as returned from school at Camp Shelby. My insurance coordinator and surgeons office feel confident about my approval. But, I will feel more comfortable about being excited once I am (or am not) officially approved by insurance. I was told not to lose too much weight because I have another weigh in on June 07. And my BMI is only 41.5. I feel like I'm at a stand still. So, any tips on other ways I might can prepare are appreciated.
