I'm ten days post op and feel hungry. I see food on billboards in commercials and just about everywhere. I'm still in my liquid diet phase but if I'm having this much trouble already, how am I gonna be successful. The food industry has perfected that subliminal advertising that calls to me and instantly makes me want food. What they do should be illigal when obesity related illnesses kills more people annually than drugs, alcohol, and smoking combined. Hoping it gets easier..

Thank you for that! I went to my consultation today and he scared me with all the complication talk and "rearranged" talk and weight gain talk etc. but after reading your comment I feel better thank you!!!@KarenInOz

I'm similar to you in that I had the sleeve and regained my weight due to inactivity because of an injury and problems with my thyroid...I've just had rny 3 weeks ago and it's definitely been hard going through the deprivation stages and just being on liquids..one thing I wasn't prepared for was the roller coaster emotions after the surgery..probably due to not taking meds (for depression) for a few days...
Don't think of it as a fail..sometimes in life things happen beyond our control and we do things to survive the situations we are going through..you with the drinking and me with the inactivity ..
I feel more determined this time and am grateful that I have a second chance..
Good luck with your decision but definitely make sure you are mentally prepared.

I am 4 years post op and have gained ALL my weight back. I can't get back on track I am hungry all the time.
