  1. I have similar feelings...

Even though I have lost quite a bit of weight, I still feel just as fat as I was before. When I look in the mirror, I see the same person I saw 50 pounds heavier. People tell me all day long how great I look and even complete strangers (grocery checker) noticed my loss, WHY CAN'T I! Physically I feel so much better, but mentally I am the same fatty I was before.

I do not like missing my daily workout & if I do, it throws me completely off.

I’m trying to make mini goals along the way to my goal. My next is to get in to a size 32 seven for all mankind jeans (expensive jeans I have been wanting to wear!).

I have to wonder if I will ever be satisfied with my weight.

I assume that's you in the pic, you look great. You sure don't look fat.

  2. If we journaled our food, exercised everday, and ate at scheduled times we could lose 10lb a month......oh yes, get a handle on our "head hunger". The stresses of life come upon us , and the first thing we do is ignore our journey. We didn't get this way by being disciplined and thinking only of ourselves. It is tough, but I think if we continue to support one another through LBT, we WILL reach our goals.
    Well said!

  3. They pulled air out of mine when I got my first fill also, I'm really ready for my second one. I really want to get some restriction. And I'm ready to lose more then 1lbs a week, That seems to be my average these days. not complaining because a loss is a loss but I would really like to see a little more.

  4. I just keep telling myself that the band is a process, not an instant fix... (darn it!) It's killing me to see my weight creeping up while I wait for my first fill. I'm keeping my ticker at the lowest point for now. It's too awful to have to change it upward.

    Orea

I'm with you girl friend, leave the ticker alone. I changed my ticker back and forth for 3wks before my first fill from now on it's staying and if nessary i'll catch up with it well i'll cross that bridge if i get to it(hope not)

  5. Charlene, so sorry to hear of your troubles, thoughts and prayers are with you and your community. When I read your post it made me think of just how differant all of us are told to eat. I'm on 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup 3 times a day with no Snacks or grazing. If I had to eat 6 meals a day I would never get my fluids in you know with having to wait an hour after each meal to drink. There's just not enough hours in my day.

  6. Hi July Butterflies - I need some help! I can eat anything anytime I want. When I realized this two weeks ago it just opened the flood gates of poor old habits. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I think I could eat anything I wanted to also. my home is full of sweets(4 grandkids) and I make big ole country meals for my DH nightly. I haven't touched any of it, I give myself a reason every day as to why I'm staying on plan that day and take it one day at a time. I wanted to bite my granddaughters ho ho so bad yesterday but I managed to hold out, she even went as far as to ask me why I kept looking at her. I didn't have the heart to tell her it was taking all my will power not to tackle her and wrestler that ho ho out of her tiny hand. but I can't expect the world to stop eating all the things I love just because I can't have them. anyway that's my story and now back to you: when is your next fill? I'm sure that would help.

  7. I am here. I have done great I have lost 24lbs. I have hit a hiccup in the road though. I had to have emergency surgery on a strangulation hernia on the 3rd and was in the Hospital until 5th. Now I have a small bruise like mass underneath the incision and it hurts like crap and I am tired all the time. I was doing great in the hospital walking but now I am home and back to work I feel like I have no energy. Also I had to put off getting my fill this month until next month so I can heal. Oh well I am trying to plug along.
Really sorry to hear of your trouble, hope you feel better soon.

  8. I agree with Jill, be proud. besides you started at a lower weight then alot of us. sometimes the more you have to lose the faster you lose it until you get closer to your goal weight. And I mean your already running a 5k. I'm still trying to get past 30min. on the treadmill(I hate that thing) My 35lbs includes 13lbs on 2wk pre-op

  9. Probably a question for those who had the band done in Mexico, how soon did you fly?

I just received approval and thought I might combine surgery recovery time with a quick vacation.

    Thanks,

    Anne

I had my surgery in Mexico on a tuesday and flew home on thursday with no problem although i don't know if i would make my recovery time a vacation but if you do try some sight seeing the walking is good for you

  10. My surgeon's office said that they won't tell me how much is in my band once I am banded.
You should talk to your surgeon, you have every right to know and every right to see your records, what's his reasoning behind that? Anyway, I have the Inamed 10cc with a fill level of 9cc and right now I'm at 3.6
