DEgirl, so sorry to hear about your health problems big:girl_hug: thoughts and prayers are with you dailey. I'm getting hungry alot sooner also, I'm calling about a fill today.

Boos, I got it off of smiley central

I assume that's you in the pic, you look great. You sure don't look fat.I have similar feelings...Even though I have lost quite a bit of weight, I still feel just as fat as I was before. When I look in the mirror, I see the same person I saw 50 pounds heavier. People tell me all day long how great I look and even complete strangers (grocery checker) noticed my loss, WHY CAN'T I! Physically I feel so much better, but mentally I am the same fatty I was before.
I do not like missing my daily workout & if I do, it throws me completely off.
I’m trying to make mini goals along the way to my goal. My next is to get in to a size 32 seven for all mankind jeans (expensive jeans I have been wanting to wear!).
I have to wonder if I will ever be satisfied with my weight.

Well said!If we journaled our food, exercised everday, and ate at scheduled times we could lose 10lb a month......oh yes, get a handle on our "head hunger". The stresses of life come upon us , and the first thing we do is ignore our journey. We didn't get this way by being disciplined and thinking only of ourselves. It is tough, but I think if we continue to support one another through LBT, we WILL reach our goals. -
Yep, me too. I was told they would like to see 10lbs a month. but I think I'm gonna give them more like 5 or 6. DEgirl, are you hitting your goal? Me & Charlene seem to be a little shy.
-
I'm 1lbs closer to onederland, 17lbs to go. when I get there I'll start consentrating on the other 39lbs. I'm trying to make my goals in baby steps. And at 1lb at a time what else can you do?
-
They pulled air out of mine when I got my first fill also, I'm really ready for my second one. I really want to get some restriction. And I'm ready to lose more then 1lbs a week, That seems to be my average these days. not complaining because a loss is a loss but I would really like to see a little more.

I'm glad your powers back on, It's terrible to live without it these days. And congrats on the fill. What size Band do you have? do you know the fill level? Mine-10cc w/9cc fill level. They said i had a large stomach (go figure) I'm at 3.6 w/first fill.

I'm with you girl friend, leave the ticker alone. I changed my ticker back and forth for 3wks before my first fill from now on it's staying and if nessary i'll catch up with it well i'll cross that bridge if i get to it(hope not)I just keep telling myself that the band is a process, not an instant fix... (darn it!) It's killing me to see my weight creeping up while I wait for my first fill. I'm keeping my ticker at the lowest point for now. It's too awful to have to change it upward.Orea

Charlene, so sorry to hear of your troubles, thoughts and prayers are with you and your community. When I read your post it made me think of just how differant all of us are told to eat. I'm on 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup 3 times a day with no Snacks or grazing. If I had to eat 6 meals a day I would never get my fluids in you know with having to wait an hour after each meal to drink. There's just not enough hours in my day.
-
I think I could eat anything I wanted to also. my home is full of sweets(4 grandkids) and I make big ole country meals for my DH nightly. I haven't touched any of it, I give myself a reason every day as to why I'm staying on plan that day and take it one day at a time. I wanted to bite my granddaughters ho ho so bad yesterday but I managed to hold out, she even went as far as to ask me why I kept looking at her. I didn't have the heart to tell her it was taking all my will power not to tackle her and wrestler that ho ho out of her tiny hand. but I can't expect the world to stop eating all the things I love just because I can't have them. anyway that's my story and now back to you: when is your next fill? I'm sure that would help.Hi July Butterflies - I need some help! I can eat anything anytime I want. When I realized this two weeks ago it just opened the flood gates of poor old habits. Is anyone else experiencing this? -
Welcome back ladies, it's great to hear from all of ya'll

Really sorry to hear of your trouble, hope you feel better soon.I am here. I have done great I have lost 24lbs. I have hit a hiccup in the road though. I had to have emergency surgery on a strangulation hernia on the 3rd and was in the Hospital until 5th. Now I have a small bruise like mass underneath the incision and it hurts like crap and I am tired all the time. I was doing great in the hospital walking but now I am home and back to work I feel like I have no energy. Also I had to put off getting my fill this month until next month so I can heal. Oh well I am trying to plug along. -
Only, that's really good. I'm down 35lbs but that's including 13lbs from 2 wk pre-op :tt1:I have only lost 27 pounds. I cant wait to get that 2nd fill. -
I started curves this week, I figure I'd start out slow.
-
I vote for her every 24Hrs what she has acomplished is amazing. but had no clue that was her at the top of the page. she looks great.
-
Good luck on your Banding Annabelle hope all goes well.

I agree with Jill, be proud. besides you started at a lower weight then alot of us. sometimes the more you have to lose the faster you lose it until you get closer to your goal weight. And I mean your already running a 5k. I'm still trying to get past 30min. on the treadmill(I hate that thing) My 35lbs includes 13lbs on 2wk pre-op
-
So where have all the butterflies flown off to? haven't heard from a lot of you in a while, how about some up dates. I'm doing fine, I've lost 35lbs but still have 57 to go. so far i'm pleased with the progress.

I have lap band and my port is on the left side. lap band comes in differant sizes and I was told the realize comes in one. I think it's a 14cc but i would have to check on that.

I had my surgery in Mexico on a tuesday and flew home on thursday with no problem although i don't know if i would make my recovery time a vacation but if you do try some sight seeing the walking is good for youProbably a question for those who had the band done in Mexico, how soon did you fly?I just received approval and thought I might combine surgery recovery time with a quick vacation.
Thanks,
Anne

You should talk to your surgeon, you have every right to know and every right to see your records, what's his reasoning behind that? Anyway, I have the Inamed 10cc with a fill level of 9cc and right now I'm at 3.6My surgeon's office said that they won't tell me how much is in my band once I am banded.
hi i'm new and nervous
