  1. I'm almost 2 1/2 years out and my original goal was 160, I hit that at about a year and a half out so I lowered my goal to 150 and hit that at my 2 year mark. I'm not an exerciser (Hate to admit it) But I do watch what I eat to this day. I went on maintance and didn;t do to well, I gained 6 lbs so and to go back into the losing stage. I now have 4 more lbs to get back where I was. The one thing I've learned from this experience is it's a life long journey it doesn't end. But I know it's well worth it. Everyone is different what works for one doesn't always work for another and everyone loses at their own pace. For some it just seems to drop off and others fight for every pound. I think how much one loses and how long they will lose is pretty much a one on one basis. Don't worry yourself about it to much just keep following the rules and I bet you get where you want to go. Good luck

  2. hi kimaly - who was your doc? I, too, am going to Mexico. Surgery date is Jan 28 with Dr. Aceves. I am excited.... I am paying cash for half and putting the other half on a zero interest CC.

I went to Dr. Rodriquez in Juarez. I was really pleased. I hear alot of good things about Dr. Aceves also. i'm really happy for you. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Sometimes it can be tough but well worth it in the long run.

  3. I'll try to post one I'm really lost on this new forum.

OK, 1 month until Christmas and I'm gonna try really hard to get back on track. Had such a bad food day yesterday and the guilt is kicking my butt. I've got to stop giving in. I'm gonna lean on ya'll for support and encouragment and the butt kicking I deserve from time to time.

  4. Oh right! Because my implants are tear drop shaped, my surgeon opted to place them in front of the muscle to reduce the chances of them flipping. I don't know how this affects cup sizing but I do remember him saying that it didn't matter about the ccs, because someone could get fewer ccs and still end up a bigger cup size. That's why he couldn't with all honesty tell me exactly what cup size I'd end up. He just could tell me what size implant he thought suited me. And I think he was pretty spot on to be honest.

Though mind you, Kimaly, I reckon a DD in a 36 is bigger than a DD in a 30. I still have my old bras in a 38DD and the cups are waaaaaayyyyy bigger than the cups of my 30DDs.

Yeah, It;s hard for me to go by a cup size because they're behind the mucsle so I really don't get the projection. Shelf bras seem to work much better these days. A D is to small and if I wear a full coverage bra a DD leaves a little pinch room so I stick with a DD shelf, And what the hey they're always sexier then a full coverage anyway so I really don't mind LOL

  5. I had 550's put in when I was still over 200lbs and now I'm around the 150 mark they look really big. My daughter always says they're hugh (EEEEK) But of coarse the DH loves um. I just think it's a personal choice. I will add that when I went in I was getting 475's but during the surgery the Dr. decided they needed to be lager to fill them out. She's the pro so I guess she knew what she was doing. I myself Love them, They're the only firm thing on my body now lol

  6. I saved up the money and then got my surgery in Mexico, This way I do not have a montly payment. Good thing to because we have a Commercial Plumbing Company and anyone in the Construction field these days seems to be really struggling at least us with small Businesses. I can't afford the Cosmetic surgery I really need now but at least the weight is gone.

  7. Thx Melisa, I found it. It will surely take some gettin use to. Well i've not done that well at resisting, since yesterday I had 2 peices of pumpkin cheese cake and a small peice of pecan pie (I have got to quit baking) Now comes the blasted beating myself up part. Why do I keep repeating the same behavior? A Christmas goal would be nce, I sure didn't hit the Thanksgiving one. New day tomarrow and a new start.

I got the tatoo I was talking about, It's a Butterfly and above it it says Trust Your and under it says journey So maybe when I'm in doubt I can just turn my arm over and remind myself. Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving

  8. I hate to be the one to tell you this but your band is new and YOU have to be in charge of portions. You should not be eating more then a 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup at any one sitting. You can stretch your pouch and cause your band to slip in these early stages. Eat smaller portions and alittle more often if nesasary. It takes a long time for a lot of people to reach proper restriction. For me it was about a year and a half before I hit my sweet spot. Just take it slow and follow the rules. It's not always easy but well worth it in the end, It has been said quite often on this forum that slow and steady wins the race. Good luck and best wishes:biggrin:

  9. I know what you mean, My daughter inlaw which I love dearly didn't have a second thought to asking me to make all the food for my granddaughters bithday party this past Sat. and also their halloween party later that night for the adults. I sure don't mind helping out but that's a lot of temptation. Later when I was cleaning she caught me licking icing off my fingers from where I wrapped the cake and she proceeded to remind me of how cake was off limits for me. Hummm! guess she didn't think about that when she wanted me to make everything.
