1. I hate to be cranky at this stage of the game, but the few times I actually crave or think "Gee,that would taste so good!" 2 bites in it. either it is a cruel disappointment or it out and out makes me puke. And tell me what the answer is at this point? I need some "outside- me "clarity.*TY* P.S. I am 7 months out and still have THIS PROBLEM [emoji24][emoji25][emoji26][emoji97]
Just eat what you're craving in small bites but make it at home and substitute the unhealthy parts of the fast food for healthy choices. That's how you can keep busy and stop thinking of food all the time and you also learn how to make healthier choices and cook proper meals for yourself without the fast food versions.[emoji847]

2. Ouch! Did you have issues with GERD or stomach acid prior to surgery?
Yes I have always had problems with acid reflux, but I was on 20 mg twice a day. I never had it coming up on me in the middle of the night until I had the sleeve. They are going to fix my hernia at the same time they do the bypass. I'll have all my prerequisites done by July. I'll keep you posted if you want.

3. You can mix it in coffee, yogurt, cottage cheese with peaches, milk, ice cream, juice and anything you eat or drink almost. The only real way to find out what you like or dont is to simply try it. Dont be afraid to try different ways to experiment with Protein powder. The worse thing that can happen is you waste a scoop or so. Try anything you can to get your protein in to keep healthy.

4. Six star unflavored whey Protein Powder 20 grams Protein per scoop. I recently was at my nutritionist and she gave me a sample of Unjury Protein powder and it's even better, she suggested I get it on Amazon because it may be less expensive. Good luck!

Yes I just recently tried Unjury and it is much better

5. I must be broken. I had RNYGB one week ago and I'm craving Chick-fil-a, LOL. I'm hoping it is the severe calorie deficit that is causing cravings and that it will fade once I can tolerate reasonable calories and nutrients.
You might crave it, but that craving could change the minute you bite into it. Your cravings for food is going to be so different you wont recognize yourself.

6. I try to get in at least one scoop of Protein every day along with high protein foods. Recently I found that after mixing in my Protein Powder with my greek yogurt and let it set for a minute or two allows the protein to absorb into my yogurt or cottage cheese lessens the taste of the powder. I also add some stevia. It's a nice tip just thought I'd share my experience.

7. I'm a gulper - I just seem to forget all the time and chug. I'm 4 weeks post-op now, and I can gulp about 3 - 4 mouthfuls (prob about 4 ounces). Sometimes I'll get an "uh oh!" feeling in my stomach where it feels like the liquid is coming up again a bit, or is sitting at the top of my stomach or something, and I'll have to spit out any I still have in my mouth. I seem to be incapable of takinga single sip. It's never been painful, though.
I have the same problem and the dr did an endoscopy and found a hiatal hernia. I keep on having food come up also and it burns my throat from the acid coming up. Keep an albuterol inhaler close by because the acid literally burns my throat and I cant breathe it's very scary.

8. That's true, we should create a directory of people to avoid...

9. I’m divorced, dating is so awkward for me. The older I get the more corny I get. I’ve lost all my cool and just talk about how I’m on meds to keep my anxiety away. Reading this I see why I’m single lmao. But my meds have me so calm I don’t even give a f&ck
I'm single and my meds also keep me calm and I don't think it's the meds. Ever since I got divorced it's just a matter of having to take care for anyone else. I'm 57 and not wanting to cook or anything else for anyone else. I love being single. It's much more relaxing.

10. I stay away from SF candy but the pops are different. I don't eat any sf caramels, chocolates or Taffy of any kind. I can still eat a ton of SF candies, and it's definitely a trigger down that slippery slope of eating.

Yes depending on SF candy is not a good idea at all. I could eat a ton of SF caramels and the calorie count is big, not worth the treat.

11. I had two strictures - one at four weeks out and the other at about eight weeks out. What you're describing sounds pretty much like my experience. It was an easy fix - if it's a stricture, they'll just stretch it out during the endoscopy and you'll feel about a million times better afterward.
Yeah it's not just a stricture it ended up being a hiatal hernia so I'm doing tests to revise to the bypass. Should be ok, not anticipating too many problems.

12. Oh my! I had purchased some Protein powder from CVS and liked it before surgery. After surgery the taste was a little off and the smell was intolerable. I ended up getting a different brand and i think it is fantastic. I no longer dread getting in my protein. Our new stomas are finicky little things and determine what is tolerated and what is not. Best wishes.

Yes everything is different after surgery. I no longer even like the smell of meat when it's cooking, I could literally throw up. I am able to tolerate chicken, turkey, and ham lunch meat, thank God I can get some natural protein in. I've turned to cottage cheese, and unflavored protein powder to get the rest in. I'd love some more ideas for protein.

13. In all seriousness:
joannniemiec nomorefattypatty The main question is what was the intent in RESURRECTING a YEAR OLD post that began this railing against/arguing/fighting/defending/supporting the comment about the president and/or the president himself, when that post was ALREADY DEAD/NOT COMMENTED ON THEN/FROM SOMEONE WHO HADN'T POSTED SINCE OCTOBER; then jumping to the conclusion that Beachladee3 was laughing at the president comment back in September (as opposed to any other part of the post); then following up your comments by stating this discussion has no place on this site...when you brought it up again and continue to post about it?!?! I am flummoxed.
Should have let sleeping dogs lie, instead of necroposting! Let it die.
Why do you keep it going even more, some of the people on this site need a life. Put your self back to sleep and shut the dog up
